I'm not Mark Rober, but I do know why ice melts when you put salt on it. Since salt water has a lower freezing point than pure water, when you put salt on ice it lowers the melting point of the ice to below it's current temperature, causing it to melt. This does mean that if the ice is cold enough, salt will not work. Salt that is used on roads to prevent ice in winter has another chemical that reduces freezing point even further. As for the gravity thing, all things with mass have gravity. The more mass, the more gravity. More massive things pull less massive things more than less massive things pull more massive things.

I had a plastic toy diving bell in a bottle when I was a kid. The cap of the bottle held on a plastic base and the bottle was upside down, with aquarium gravel in it. There were various little plastic toys setting on top of the gravel. When I squeezed the bottle, the diving bell went down and 2 claws on the bottom of it opened up. I tried picking things up with the pincers, but I had to squeeze the bottle so hard to make it work, that it wasn't any fun. Now I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists and it would hurt to squeeze a bottle that hard. I had some REALLY crappy toys when I was a kid. They got quite a bit worse than that.

Speaking of plastic bags..... Did you know that you can boil water over a campfire using a plastic bag? The "trick"... keep the bag from contacting the flame or getting too close. The water will heat up slowly and the plastic won't melt (because the water keeps the plastic cool enough to heat up the water.
