People use it, it just isn't very effective anymore. You'll see it more in woman's mma due to less experience. People really understand how to strike on a completely different level now. It's a nice combo but superman punches are high energy, people set up leg kicks with more energy efficient methods and are way more effective at attacking legs. Just imagine trying to do that to Leon Edward's. It's just a waste of energy.

Yea that is crazy to think about. Id think that helps with the trainers more than the fighter because that would mean based on their reactions how open is the window to counter strike so thatd be implemented into pad work to get that timing down. Like the fighter doesnt need to know the frame shit just a good coach would use that info to better simulate the fight during camp.

Remember when gsp looked like he was gassed in the second round against bisping in their title fight? He said it wasn't exhaustion but that when he saw that what he was doing wasn't working, he just stopped and didn't waste energy on a plan that wasn't working. Amazing!!!
