Personally, I feel like the content and perspective and vibes Kam brings on stage is more liable to laughs but barbosas management of tension and stage presence definitely stand out compared to Kam

I think what this proved was really that the younger generation has gravitated towards Matt and Shane, my theory is they are more relatable to the average comedy podcast listener which I would guess is college age to mid 30s, they are funny in a way we relate to, they seem like a funny friend you might have had in high school or college, or maybe you were the funny friend, they have similar interests and views to most listeners and I think most importantly they haven’t changed yet, they still seem to be grounded to regular middle class life, I can’t relate to Tom segura or Bobby Lee, or Andrew Shultz, but Shane sounds like a friend I played football with from my home town and Matt sounds like your stoned friend that was always cool and funny. It will be interesting to see where they go because they have I think pretty convincingly become the “people’s champ” of this comedy podcast universe and are the only two that have what they have

Finally, an award that Bert Kreischer’s management team couldn’t buy or manufacture. Good to see that he still surrounds himself with the hottest comedians to give himself comedy-credibility-by-association … just like he did with Joe Rogan. His act has everything except a well written joke. There’s a live DJ, pyrotechnics, electric bikes, hot dog cannons, a carnival slide and a mascot of himself running around. He sh*t himself on stage & wiped his ass with his T-shirt & held it up for the audience.
