Super excited for this. The Books of Sorrow videos were my favorites and I can’t wait for it to be expanded upon and taken to a whole new level. The Hive lore is by far my favorite, as it is the most interesting and, I think, the most important. I see the Hive as the primary enemy in Destiny, since the Darkness is still so vague/mysterious/uneventful. We know so much about the Hive, but there’s still so much to learn and they have a fascinating history and I love learning more about them. Forsaken was a delightful surprise for me when it turned into a story about the Hive/Taken being behind it all. I am beyond excited for Dynasty. Also, I know Bungie will have nothing to do with the project, but I’m sure once it comes out they will include it in a TWAB because it will undoubtably being an excellent video they will love.

Hi Byf!!! Long time Destiny 2 (and Destiny) player, new Byf follower. In the last 2 months, I think I’ve watched about 50 of your videos lol, and have found a special intrigue in the books of sorrow videos (which I’m excited for the new series you’re making with all the outstanding artists and creators!!!!). One thing that as really piqued my interest in that specific topic, from the Grimwore (definitely not now you spell that lol) all the way up to Beyond Light, and the advent of stasis (a darkness subclass with more presumably on the way with Witch Queen and Light Fall) is how do guardians not have a throne world, and more simply not follow the Sword Logic? Guardians, at their best, are slaying anything that gets in front of them, and on their worst, go looking for trouble in all the planets of Sol, not to mention gambit and crucible activities where we are literally killing each other. While I understand that guardians usually don’t always use swords, and that is a big part of at least the Hive’s understanding of the sword logic, the amount of killing and slaying and obliterating guardians have done should start to reach a number close to that of the three siblings when they started to have a throne world (I think I remember it was like after one genocide but definitely could be wrong, but we have 5 species we’ve been fighting since day 1, and not to mention killing Crota and Oryx themselves, which should have supposedly given us their power). I understand that the books of sorrow aren’t the most reliable of sources, but we know for a fact about throne worlds and we can sorta piece together the pieces that lead the siblings to achieving that feat, and the argument could be made that we had light (Traveller) powers before and that’s why but now we use Darkness powers (stasis with more hopefully to come), so that point is moot anyways. I’m sure you won’t see this, but if you do, I’d be really interested to hear what you have to say about this, and if you have any questions about the stuff I’ve said here as it is probably a big mess to be honest, I’d be happy to answer them and try and articulate my ideas in a better way and format. Thanks for being the narrator to the story that has kept me entertained since I preordered Destiny years and years ago :)
