which coaching you have taken for your prep and can you share the strategy in the matter of 5 months how were you able to complete wholw cat syllabus any previous attempts or related background?

So first of all, I took coaching from Career Launcher. Secondly I started coaching in the month of feb and was able to complete the syllabus by June itself. Afterwards, all I did was practice, revise and give mocks. I have one attempt back in 2021, but that was random, I didn't prepare for it. Talking about the background, So I have done BBA in grad. And, Yes, I will come up with a video on which I will share the strategy for 5 months. Wait for another few days and stay tuned.

Yeah, just prepare well for the CAT exam Aim for 98-99%ile. And try improving your profile..Add values to it. For English, just read and read daily. And just note down the words which you find difficult and paste it somewhere, so that you can revise it for at least 5-6 times

Hi Inshu First of all, thank you so much. I am glad to see people from my native state are supporting me and giving me valuable advice. I will make sure to not add background music to my videos. Second of all, I see that, there is a significant decline in your acads through 10th 12th and Grad. But you have academic and gender diversity points in your hands. Your category will also favour you. And don't pre assume things, you can get calls from Old IIMs too but only and only if you get a good percentile in the CAT, ideally above 97-98 . Also, regarding converting the colleges, so every college has their own criteria according to which your composite score will be calculated. And under this, there are a lot of factors which contribute to it. Your acad is just your static profile and in the composite score your dynamic profile will also be considered. So, I can't really tell you the ways in which you can convert the same college as I converted because I beleive everyone's profile is different. Ideally you can go to the college's website which you are targeting and check their calculation criteria. Also, videos are upcoming in which I'll definitely talk about my resources and material which I used for this exam and other relevant information.

Yeah sure. In IIMs, it may be the case that you don't get Old IIMs but you can get new and baby IIMs. And of course top notch Private B schools are also possible.

See, this is just your static profile and it's good. But when it comes to calculating composite scores for any college, dynamic profile is also considered like your internship, co-curricular activities, volunteer activities, any academic activities, positions of responsibility you have held, gender diversity, academic diversity. So, I would say don't think much about your static profile and as you're in your final year of BBA, you can add some values to your dynamic profile. So as of now , just think about your dynamic profile and of course on your CAT exam.

Hello Nikhil, Firstly, I see ups and downs in your acads and that could be a matter of concern. Getting calls from A could be really difficult as they are focusing on diversity these days. B and C are engineer heavy but I doubt coz you're a fresher. Getting calls from B and C could be possible when You have a work ex of atleast 2 years. Even Indore is difficult, because they value acads so much. L and K , you might get a call, but that too if your percentile is 99+. Still, I would say you should not lose hope and prepare for this exam really well. Because no one knows about the inner workings of IIMs. It may happen that you get calls from all Old IIMs. So prepare well and All the best!

Your acad is on the lower side. You can work on improving your non-static/dynamic profile. Secondly, aim for higher percentile like 98-99.

No, graduation from open learning won't affect your chances. Although, 3 years gap is huge. Make sure you have valid reasons to state in your interviews. Rest, aim for 98-99%ile

Your 10th and 12th marks seem decent enough. But still a matter of question because of the significant decline from 10th to 12th. As you said you are a GEM fresher which would mean you graduated this year. So it's fine you can still give CAT this year and can get calls from some good college with the percentile you stated. Or else, you can also gain 2 yrs of work ex and then sit for this exam. Ideally, I have seen that the people having the same profile as you have, comes with a work ex of at least 1 -2 years.

Okay. First of all, if you do your graduation in biology, then even with the low percentile ( 90-95) you can get calls. That's a plus point. But if you wanted to do BBA + MBA, you could have gone for an integrated program of 5 years. For this also, IIMs take entrance . But no worries, you do it separately also. And try preparing for the CAT from onwards.

@@cashmoney2159 Bsc students are considered as Non engineer in this exam. They are considered equivalent to BA, BBA and BMS students. And of course, If someone wants to get into BLACKI , they need to aim high without any doubt. I know a few of my friends back from the BBA course, who went to IIM Indore at 96%ile, being a fresher. And all together, no one knows about the inner workings of IIMs. What things in your profile will give you an additional advantage cannot be said . It happens that a person even with the 99%ile cannot convert any of the top IIMs. A lot of factors are considered.

Work ex (in the month as of today) ? Engineer/ Non engineer? Category ? Let me know these things. Also, One thing you should keep in mind is that, your first priority should be to score well in the CAT exam. Even though you have a good profile but you fail to do well in the CAT exam , you cannot expect any call. Also, I did my preparation with the help of a coaching. I started in the month of February. Till June, my syllabus was completed and only then my main prep started.

Still I would say a good percentile could change your fate and you can get calls from One or two old IIMs and if not any old IIMs but at least you would get calls from new and baby IIMs and some top notch Private B schools too.

@@Cookiepieeee No one can tell you this early that which IIM is possible. Until and unless you sit for the exams and get your score card. Getting calls from IIMs depends on your CAT percentile too. Although, there is a significant decline in your acads from 10th to 12th and this could be a concern. But yeah, you have a long way to go. Prepare well and target above 95 percentile in CAT. @@shreya397 Hello Shreya. The issue is not "revealing". The point is, I have seen the person with the same percentile as me didn't get the call even. So, it would demotivate you guys ultimately. As I say this every time, not just the CAT score matters but your static and dynamic profile also matters and of course the PI as well. All these factors are considered before making the merit list. There is one more thing, there is so much of the inner workings of IIMs which no one knows about. I said this in one of the videos that I had the worst interview for IIM Mumbai and still converted it.

Any percentile above 95, you would get calls from every college.
