Meat and oysters induce acidity in the body; and it means that the body lose zinc and many other vitamins and minerals for gaining back the basic environment. Pumpkin seeds can be consumed in a certain quantity and are not the main source of Zn

@MEDsimplified thank you very much. One thing that would help more is, instead of using random stock footage, if you would use footage of the serving size you are referencing. What does 50g of pumpkin seeds look like in a bowl? What does 100g of beef look like on a plate?

@@francescalanzi7898 - Wouldn’t you have to eat a lot of these to have such an effect as to be dangerous? My blood pressure runs a little low, but don’t have any adverse reaction to eating pumpkin seeds. But thank you for the words of caution. 🌿💕

Zinc depletes copper. If you take a zinc supplement, make sure you take a copper supplement at a different time of the day… like zinc in the morning, copper in the evening.

I ate loads of pumpkin seeds when I was vegan. But had zinc deficiency symptoms. I dont think its very bioavailable.

I wasn't a vegan but ate loads of pumpkin seeds also. It made me feel like crap in about an hour. I think it's the Omega 6 oil but I don't know for sure. I'm back in Houston again and can get gulf oysters by the boxes. I don't get any bad symptoms after eating oysters.

Correct me if I am wrong? This all are rich sources of zinc But I guess in our normal vegetables and fruits we consist zinc even in pulses cereals I guess or maybe in any one of them, the reason why we normal people don't have such sign and symptoms. Also only cashew mushroom and pumpkin seeds are foods and rest all are sentient beings who thrive to live. And I guess only mushroom is a whole fungi or plant which is uprooted rest are ripened parts of a plant.

Dogs in my street only get some chapati (bread) throughout the day for years. No meat no special diet only waste bread. And they are very fit, agile and healthy. I think health and fitness should be in the body not in the mind.

@@bliss6607 yes when there were famines and wars people used to be healthy now after counting calories and protein per gram no one is healthy enough My grandparents used to eat butter in litres still no heart diseases lives almost for a century. So don't get traped into market strategies just do alot of physical work, be happy and eat whatever you want.

Stress, anxiety, depression leads to deficiency, we are self conscious beings, we think much. No doubt a mentally happy and spritual soul won't face such issues, their body can absorb all the nutrients of food. Thus you can't compare animals with humans.

Perhaps before reviewing the RDA (Recomended Daily Allowance) it's now called RDI ( Recomended Daily Intake) one might consider asking your self the question... If humanans are walking biochemistry sets then does illness chemical exposure, stressors,( emotional,chemical,physical) create a higher demand for nutrients. Here's another question how much gas does it take to get to the top of the closest mountain peak from the base? Dosent that depend on what you are driving? Does the fuel tank have a leak? Are the spark plugs fouled? Are there bad wheel bearings? Is the vehicle pulling a trailer or is weighted down excessively? That being said welders are cautioned about welding galvanized metal/pipe due to excessive amounts of smoke and getting zinc poisoning. Just something to think about.....
