Honestly Tim, I'd look into the possibility of fitting some all-season tires, at least for the stretches through parts with unpredictable and potentially even worse weather. Plus you'd get a lot more miles out of them.
@JD-eo7dr2 жыл бұрын
He's British we are very used to unpredictable weather. Driving in the rain is minor to us Brits
@nimue3252 жыл бұрын
@@JD-eo7dr I do find that what Brits call bad weather pales in comparison to bad weather in regions like New England, Colorado, Montana, etc. (Hot weather is hotter, cold is colder too.) Rain is often heavier, as is our snow, which may show up in New England, the upper Midwest, and the Rockies any time now. I think the rain in the UK is much more like the rain in the PNW: there is a fair bit of it, but it tends to fall often and more lightly, rather than the flash flood buckets other regions get. Oh, plus it is hurricane season, which could hit in the diagonal from Maine to Texas, worst in Florida of course.
@jacobgbrownemedia2 жыл бұрын
Definitely huge respect for divulging into the expenses of a trip like this- especially being a KZbinr. Most influencers / online personalities wouldn't dream of making their business expenses public as in today's day and age an automotive KZbinr spending 50K on a trip will really piss some (uneducated) people off. So props to you, Tim.

I hope you had time to drive on the Montauk Hwy / 27A through Lindenhurst. The ferry is a nice shortcut, but you’re at the mercy of scheduling, order, timing, etc… Going north this time of the year is an amazing experience with the changing of the seasons. If it’s in your taste, take the time to appreciate the fall leaf foliage, it’s surprisingly breathtaking if you make it to the mountains. Maine or New Hampshire are some of the great destinations for autumn sightseeing and activities. The rain is unavoidable this time of the year and it is the prelude to the snowfall in few weeks, or months depending on how far north you manage to go. Going westward towards Chicago and the Great Lakes is awesome too, the highways are in acceptable conditions once you’re on the main traveling segments of the highways. The I90 turnpike has been renovated and is more comfortable to ride on. Have fun and safe travels.

Thankyou for breaking down the costs, really shows the level of dedication you put into your channels. Random thought... Why spend $3000 on soft compound pilot cup 2 R's when most of the miles traveled will just be Highway miles? Wouldn't you be better off just buying a second set of rims and running a more economical tyre for the highway miles, and just shipping the cup 2 R's to a dealership near any tracks that you plan on doing laps at? The dealership could just swap out the tyres for you and then ship the cup 2 R's to the next destination.
