Pile # 1 Totally accurate. I have an aunt who I was very close to, but she always has conflict with someone. She totally disregards boundaries and this time I was her target. It wasn’t the first time, but this time I had the strength to tell her she was crossing a line and ask for space. I didn’t want to completely cut her out but she lashed out worse as I set boundaries and tried to make demands of how and when I needed to communicate with her, rather than respecting that space. Then she fake apologized but continued to make passive-aggressive remarks to get her point across. She did a few more toxic things and I have finally blocked her on my phone and social media. I felt that she forced my hand. It was either continue to be disrespected and mistreated or cut her out of my life. I have a baby on the way and I’m certain she will play the victim when she does not get to meet the baby. However, things don’t suddenly change to where I’m going to let her continue to be toxic just because I have another child. She caused me great distress at a very vulnerable time in my life. I spent a lot of time crying but now it’s a relief to let her go. As far as the # 4 coming up, the four walls of the empty room card, the four paths, the fours of materials… I think of foundation. Others in my family were also toxic. As a child, your parents and closest family are your foundation for understanding relationships. So it does go deeper. You have to teach yourself as an adult what is healthy and good. Your very foundation has to be rebuilt. It’s a very emotional and powerful process, but so worth it. You were right- although I think of myself as much better able to speak up, I still don’t like to directly say no or tell someone “That is enough.” I’m really coming along though!

If she tries to wheedle her way back into your life, just remind yourself that she was causing toxic chemicals and emotions in your body during your pregnancy. This was affecting your baby's development. It may be because of her low level of consciousness, so you may forgive her; but for the sake of your child and yourself, I hope you never let her - or any other toxic person - disturb your peace and happiness. Plus what you allow teaches your children what they should put up with in life. Regrettably, I kept toxic family members in my life out of pity, and it has drained my life energy and happiness for decades. I should have cut them out and made them grow up. They were supposed to be behaving like caring adults but refused. Why did I put up with there BS out of pity?? That was emotional manipulation on their part, and it worked.

I was drawn to #2 right away even though all 3 are beautiful and I could have picked any of them. But right from the start I had goosebumps listening to you talk about #2! Wow! This is me! I have been fighting for my health for 3 years. Getting sick woke me up to me & my life and all that I have allowed and kept secret all of my life. It led me down a road of doing the shadow work of facing a lifetime of abusive relationships, and now releasing my alcoholic workaholic husband that left our marriage a long time ago. During all of this I have lost my church, my religion, many family and friends and almost everything but I know I needed to go through this and be put in this place of isolation to not just heal for my health and to do this work but to learn to love myself for the 1st time in my life. I have released so many things from my past and I may have more but I admit my mind gets in the way. I ruminate in my mind trying to understand why those things happened or how I didn’t see them happening right under me. Or why I didn’t make better choices. I think I ruminate with hopes of understanding so I learn so I do better. I want to trust myself to do better but I’m struggling with this. Releasing the past and choosing myself is a first for me but I’m doing it. I have released these people with love and gratitude for the lessons they have taught me and I have purged so much. I swayed at first in choosing the different cards, then chose pile 1. Then as you started I thought oh no! I chose the wrong one! lol attachment issues! P1... so true. It's been an on and off cycle since 2016. I finally said forever goodbye this month for myself. It wasn't easy. It felt like cutting off a part of my body.
