so pleased to hear you discuss seat angle because I feel the same -- too steep is awkward for long seated riding

amazing news about the seat tube angle especially the actual (everybody is talking about effective which is measured in head tube height and that is irelevant, nobody climbes with a seat in headtube/stack height). you can clearly see on rascals V1 that the seat is ridiculously far back, you are almost sitting over the rear axle when along seatpost is fully extended. great changes, a was hoping for this change and as a 27,5 fan waiting if something similar is going to happen with rail 27. if not, rascal is my next bike.

I've been riding a lot of different bikes in the last 3 yrs, I used to avoid demo days but now I take every occasion I can get to try new designs. Anyway after trying a lot of the names placed on a pedestal I bought another of what I had, absolutely no fanboyism I hate the brand...I wish I found newer n better. One thing I realised when it comes to suspension designs is that bike manufacturers have a tendency to twist and form reality, weirdly enough it translates into reviews and users. Integrity has left the room a long time ago in this industry.

Dang… never thought about my superboost 429 being obsolete in 10 years. And I just got new 27.5 wheels for it!! Just gotta ride and not worry about that I guess but that’s a legit point

6k for a GX build on the rascal is blatant robbery.

On the topic of geometry.... size specific chainstays are a big deal... otherwise every size bike has a different front/rear balance. A bike with a 528 reach and 435 chainstay is ridiculous. I'm 6'5", lean, fit and pretty fast... It's very very hard to find a balanced bike. There may be 3 bike brands that offer a bike to fit me. And don't get me started on shock stroke being too short on most bikes for bigger/faster riders...
