So many Roman Catholics claim that the woman with sun moon stars is Virgin Mary, and many Christians think that she is physical Israel. Yet as i studied scriptures and listened to many other ministries these few years, i just could not be convinced and there are contradictions. But wow, this teaching on Revelation 12 here along with the other chapters and OT, NT scriptures and all the teachings on parables, mindblowing. Finally, we are really understanding God’s Word like how He wants us to. I am so thankful to hear this. Thank you, Father God. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ. The bible makes it difficult to see how Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament. Jesus being born of a virgin: The bible says that Jesus’ virgin birth was the fulfillment of a prophecy (Isaiah 7:10-14, Matthew 1:18-23). However, the contents found in Isaiah 7 is not referring to Jesus. The Hebrew word for virgin (“bethulah”) is not found in Isaiah 7:14. Rather, it contains the Hebrew word for young woman (“almah”). This is a translation error from when they translated the contents of Isaiah from Hebrew to Greek. They translated the Hebrew word for young woman (“almah”) to the Greek word for virgin (“parthenos”). Furthermore, it is not possible for Jesus’ birth to have been a sign to Ahaz (king of Judah) since Ahaz died around 700BC. Jesus’ family fleeing to Egypt: The bible says that Jesus’ parents fleeing with him to Egypt as a child was the fulfillment of a prophecy (Hosea 11:1-5, Matthew 2:13-15). However, the contents found in Hosea 11 is not referring to Jesus. It is a reference to the Israelite exodus out of Egypt and how similar events would occur between Israel and Assyria. Jesus born in Bethlehem: The bible says that Jesus being born in Bethlehem was the fulfillment of a prophecy (Micah 5:1-6, Matthew 2:1-6). However, the contents found Micah 5 is not referring to Jesus. It is a reference to a military leader that is supposed to defeat the Assyrians which Jesus never did. Bethlehem Ephrathah does not refer to a town, but rather refers to the clan of Bethlehem, the son of Caleb’s second wife Ephrathah (1 Chronicles 2:18, 2:50-52, 4:4).

​@@Laurie_101 The hebrew word found in isaiah 7: 14 is almah which means a young woman of marriageable age, clearly unless this prophecy is fulfilled it would be hard to tell if this young woman might have had a sexual relationship while being at this stage, the hebrew word found in matt 2 is parthenos which means the one who is a virgin, at the time of fulfillment, mary is a young woman of a marriageable age and a virgin, the words of matthew authenticates the fact that although this woman mentioned in isaiah 7 is a young woman, when it is fulfilled this lady isn't just a young woman but also a virgin. as for the one of micah 5: 1-6, ask yourself, also do your research, what is recorded in micah is a prophecy concerning the messiah(christ) and the assyria in this context isn't the physical one(figuratively used), the sennacherib king of assyria was destroyed in 2kgs 19, no military leader of any sort was sent to help fight the assyrians but rather God delivered the israelites in a single night, so i keep saying this to you, the best way to learn is not with a disbelieving heart but rather learn with patience and the fear of God, the bible isn't a history book , it is the book in which the thoughts of God are written in, so if then God's thought, it will be hard to understand in the same way no one can understand the thought of a man excepts his spirit, so in order for us to understand God's spirit must dwell in us, Shalom

You are mixing literal and figurative interpretations of the scripture in Mic 5 without providing a method on how to discern whether a prophecy is literal or figurative. This is just cherry picking on your part. You keep speaking about being humble and having reverence. If anything I said so far is arrogant then define arrogance and demonstrate how I have been arrogant. I value intellectual humility (recognizing the extent of my ignorance) and will gladly change my mind if you can demonstrate it. I am not convinced that we as human beings have a spirit or soul. The reason why I reject this idea is because of brain lateralization within split brain patients. This discovery provided evidence that is incompatible with the idea of a spirit or soul. Your epistemological framework of having reverence for a book before it has been demonstrated to be true is a pathway to self deception.
