Surely HYBE has to file a complaint to police before the police can investigate whether there is anything to answer for. If Hybe only sue in a civil court for damages then the police are not involved at all. I don’t think they have so far. The level of proof is much lower in a civil court which may explain why they are going down that route plus they may prefer the money over seeing her in jail. But it will be a long legal struggle going down that route.

I had been painfully keeping silent so as to not say anything that triggers the crossfire over the past year and i will still do so over the idol matters. for someone who follows court news regularly, if there is a small comment i will give in this legal case, Min is making it worse on herself if she did not go to court to give her side of the story, whether it is baseless or can be backed up. These are two different situations. First of all, the defendant's presence in court is not necessary at all, in fact it is a hindrance. Most of the hearing is between the lawyers. The defendant only shows up when he has to be questioned. Second. These are two different cases. 1. The sexual assault. A mandatory mediation meeting was scheduled so the parties could settle without going to trial. MHJ's lawyer was definitely there. What was said in the media is that the victim did not show up, which frustrated the mediation attempt. So they will go to trial. 2. There is no plagiarism case, don't get confused. No one has filed a lawsuit for plagiarism. MHJ was sued for defamation and did not go to the first hearing because it was not necessary at all. There were three lawyers for the three parties (MHJ, Belift and Source M), each of them presented their request, period. They also filed the evidence. The judge takes two months to examine it, then in the second hearing in March there will be the discussion of the evidence.

This whole HYBE vs. Min Hee-jin situation is just infuriating. It's SO obvious that ILLIT copied everything NewJeans did-the concept, photoshoots, aesthetics-literally everything. NewJeans brought a fresh vibe and concept to K-pop, and instead of letting that shine, HYBE just cloned it within their own company. Why? Because they legally can? (FYI - HYBE Owns ADOR (Newjeans) & Belift Lab (Illit). And then when Min Hee-jin called it out, HYBE decided to flex their power instead of addressing the blatant copying and kicked her out as CEO. It's like they couldn't handle someone standing up for creative integrity. This isn’t just bad for NewJeans; it’s a slap in the face to anyone who values originality in the industry. K-pop already has enough copycats, but this level of corporate greed and pettiness is next level. What’s even worse is seeing all these brainwashed commenters blindly defending HYBE like they can do no wrong, excusing their massive power trip. HYBE has all the money and resources to push their narrative, and thanks to the media manipulating perceptions, it feels like everyone has lost the one brain cell they had left. People really need to stop being so easily swayed by big corporations just because they’re rich and powerful. I don’t even stan NewJeans, but seeing this unfold as an outsider, it’s so obvious that HYBE is just trampling over creative vision to push their agenda. Sad. Your arguments are not sound. Hybe gave MHJ a label to run, BSH lent her money so that she could have equity in Ador, NJ occupied the highest floor of any of the groups. Basically, Hybe gave MHJ what she asked for, she made money for them as she was hired to do and all was good until they found evidence implicating that she had plans to make Ador an empty shell and take NJ. So maybe she complained that another group copied hers…similar creative aspects can be found across the industry. However, MHJ actions if proven true are illegal. Yes, Hybe has all the money, they invested in MHJ and NJ. Hybe’s investment was paying off with the success of NJ. Hybe is a business, a main agenda of any business is to make money, by your logic, Hybe’s agenda to sabotage a successful group goes against common business sense.
