great job, what are the cargo doors like on that model? Iv heard it takes quite a bit of work to fit them correctly.

Yes, the cargo doors do need a bit of attention - I got by with a bit of sanding

82 Matt mostly for the tank. Bit of dulling down and dry brushing too. Experiment and have fun!

Charles Holliday hey Charles, I used a bright orange first coat as a base then an orange and brown mix - brown to dull it. 3 layers in total. An ochre too for the mid section. I'll dig out exact paints for numbers for you. Thanks for the comp, I was quite happy with the ET end result.

Charles Holliday okay, Charles the exact paints used on ET are: Dark Earth Matt 82; Rust Matt 113; Metallic Gold Matt 94 and White Matt 34. The gold was 'muddied' with rust and spot of white. I usually mix white in with everything. First coat on ET was straight Dark Earth. Then a mix of Dark Earth, tiny bit of Rust which dulls the whole thing down and a touch of white to lift it. Happy modelling brother! :)

All by hand, I think the texture of brushing helps with the finish for this type of model. Enjoyed it.

RC I don't think it's changed much over the years, just the packaging. The 1/44 is a great scale for the shuttle.

The window didn't fit too well. Easy fix with careful application of the transfer around them. I used a matt white on orbiter and SRBs-nice finish. Aim for a dirty orange for the tank. V rewarding build. Have fun!
