On this Revell 1967 Camaro SS build. I got the decals and clear coat on. Started working on the interior and a few other items. It's well on its way now.

Using the foil adhesive is absolutely necessary with the product that Bare Metal Foil has been putting out lately. I apply it to the area to be folied with a fine brush, wait for it to dry (it will disappear) and then apply the foil. It takes a little bit of extra burnishing, but it works pretty well. Any adhesive residue will come off with some polishing compound on a polishing cloth. Looking great Raoul!

Thanks! And thanks for the tips! I have noticed that it goes on a little thick. Burnashing id down helps. It is a bit messy. I have used rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip to clean it up. This doesn't seem to do anything to the clear coat that I'm using but will take interior paint off if not careful.

This one is coming along nicely. That Molotow pen sure makes things shiny. I don't know if it's just because its a new pen but it looks shinier than what mine does. Looks much more realistic than silver paint or especially a Sharpie pen. No need to apologize to any of us about needing family time or about "real world" problems. I'm sure we all understand. I just hope you get enough model time in to keep your sanity.

I've tried that BMF adhesive...I'm not a fan but am interested in ur take. I've used thinned (w/ water) Mod Pod w/ 'ok' success. I got a refill bottle of Molotow Chrome and use a very fine point brush to apply interior details. A brush seems to work better for me than the 'pen'. And I don't know how to pronounce Molotow either! You do great work!! I use ur builds as benchmarks. So far I'm not close. lol

So far so good . Did you use the paint hardener for scale finishes paint.. I have yet to use it and was wondering what thought of it. As opposed to no using it
@TheMuscleCarModeler
@TheMuscleCarModeler 2 жыл бұрын
I didn't on this one. I did however get some shortly after and used it on the Miami Vice Testarossa. It did seem to help. When I repainted this car, I used basecoat and didn't have a problem.

Big goof on the column by Revell, 67 Camaro had a dash key not as you show.
@TheMuscleCarModeler
@TheMuscleCarModeler 2 жыл бұрын
That’s right! 67s have it on the dash. That was true for most of GM. Just about all 68’s were moved to the column. I glued the interior together already so I won’t be fixing that along with the alternator being on the wrong side.

@@TheMuscleCarModeler Your correct but it is still a nice kit
@TheMuscleCarModeler
@TheMuscleCarModeler 2 жыл бұрын
@@swaller4504 It is a great kit and most would not notice the few inaccuracies. Plus I think when they designed it. They had it in mind to be able to do a 67 and a 68. It would be funny if the 68 comes out with a 67 column.
@swaller4504
@swaller4504 2 жыл бұрын
@@TheMuscleCarModeler 1967 and 1968 both had the key on the dash, they didn't start putting them on the column so it was harder to steal cars until 1969 on most all GM cars. And yes the alt was on the left side of the engine on both years and then in 69 a different water pump was used so it was moved to the right side. I know this because I had had a large number of Chevys since 1971 and still have a 67 & 83 Malibu, 67 on the left and 83 on the right and I had a 67, 68 and 70 Camaro in the past.
