Roy, there is another issue with the second (pre-Revell) Monogram releases of the Corsair. The restraining part that is supposed to limit the travel of the landing gear strut (B29?) is not shown in the instructions at all. In fact, in my kit, which I bought through eBay, the parts were missing altogether. Easy enough to scratch build, but without them, the landing gear legs, when extended, can simply fall out since it would be unrestrained. Maybe they eliminated it because it was difficult to glue in place without gluing the landing gear leg into the rotating part , which would preclude the 90 degree rotation necessary to close the doors. I'm not familiar with the Revell edition, so for all I know, this may have been correct. Anyway, just wanted to point this out, in case you decided to expand your video. By the way, I too used to love these kits as a kid and prefer the old instructions that discuss the operating features in greater detail and tell you to use vegetable oil on the hinges.

Thank you for making this, Inwas trying to get it to fit using the Revell instuctons and was getting so frustrated with what is already a really rough kit.
