As i remember this kit was originally made by Zvezda-great work!

Thank you nonetheless... Maybe it was... the way the parts were fitting together was very un-Revell-like indeed..
@andreasvulcan_gr25954 жыл бұрын
Indeed, this is a Zvezda kit. It goes for about 8 euros while the Revell reboxing goes for 40% more as usual.

Hello. This is quite an interesting set with quite a rare airplane model! The set has one very important drawback for me, the dividing lines are so delicate that they disappear under the coat of paint. For all this to make sense, it would have to be deepened, then the model would be much better! Best wishes!
@wbpsmodels34524 жыл бұрын
Actually, the panel lines ARE visible although not exactly profound. The final pictures were bad for this model and they do it no justice, hence the apparent lack of panel lines. I did not dare to deepen them, for fear of making the model worse - my scribing skills are still under development. Thank you for the comment ! :)
@pawelswistak19784 жыл бұрын
@@wbpsmodels3452 When I glued my model together, the dividing lines disappeared 70-80% then I did not have the appropriate tools for deepening the dividing lines, so I will build this model again in the future ... :-) Unless a new Yak-3 model appears and it gets better, then immediately ... :-)

greit and incredible jobb!!!...i have a question but sorry for my bad english!...what did you use when start the video...you cover the line with a White tamiya product then you remove it...what is???...is it only acrilic color????...thank for your answer and greatings from venice, Roberto
@wbpsmodels34524 жыл бұрын
Hello to Venice. Thank you for your comment Roberto. The white material was Vallejo (not Tamiya) acrylic putty to fill come small gaps. It's lie a toothpaste that hardens after it gets dry. It can be sanded after it's dried. When it's still wet, you can clean most of it with a wet q-tip.

I don't know... maybe, it was a little different than "typical" Revell models in the way the parts joined... Thank you for watching :)

And why you didn't putty the joints of wing and fuselage ? The work is good but the wing-fuselage fillet spoils the impression. Thanks for your interest in Soviet aviation. Greeting from Russia

Greetings from Greece :) I did putty most of the joints but the putty contracted after drying ..and i didn't refill it.. I wasn't very comfortable (still am not) with puttying and sanding. Thank you for watching :)

We long for you to speak unto us!
@wbpsmodels34524 жыл бұрын
It's a totally different approach when a video is narrated.. Not sure if people would like that... Plus, I need some extra equipment (like a decent mike).. But i'll think about it! Thank you for the comment :)
@FiveLiver4 жыл бұрын
@@wbpsmodels3452 If you don't want to talk while working an overdub would be OK. Some modeller channels are front and centre with the builder but I like scalemodellingmadness' approach - he does multipart vids on a build, with speech, and a compilation without it. Investment in a mic would grow your channel.

What is this masking tape?
@wbpsmodels34522 жыл бұрын
It's not masking tape.. it's a material generally knows as "blu tack". In essence it's a sticky plasteline-like material which is mainly used to stick small pieces of paper to walls... usually found in stationary shops, helps plenty with modelling, both for masking or holding pieces to a stick for painting.
