Let be responsable and mindfull of what we are exposing this gem to the Media!!!!!! Someday, its getting closer the overcrowd will ruin this place!

Thanks for the video mate, loved it! Great to get a real idea of how long the run is!!! Sensational. We are hopefully coming to Revelstoke for a week in Jan 22 (from Australia) and my 2 youngest kids are pretty new to skiing, so they'll love having a crack on the long groomed runs. Cheers, -Andy

Visiting Revy this season. Thanks for video. Will try this trail. How wide is your skies? I see it’s K2, but they looks really wide for groomed trail. What do you think will be most optimal skies width for Revy trails?
@maximvidricaire2 жыл бұрын
Awesome, I'm sure you'll love it out here! The K2s are definitely too wide for most, I would generally recommend anything between 100-110 underfoot for an all-mountain ski. Always good to ask your local shop first 🙂

Some turns were quite sharp, is it dangerous for newbies?
@maximvidricaire Жыл бұрын
As far as beginner runs, it is quite narrow and has lots of turns. That being said, the Stellar Chair area is perfect for beginners!

Have you seen somebody do it on a snowboard with unstrapping ( hard to tell in the video but looks like some uphill and a lot of flats .
@maximvidricaire3 жыл бұрын
There are a few uphill parts to be fair. It would be tough for a first-time snowboarder to carry enough speed through certain turns! Revelstoke has plenty of other green runs that aren't part of the 13km (check out the Stellar chair). Hope this helps!

Welcome to skiing! It will take some experience before you can take on the Last Spike. Revelstoke does have a smaller lift about halfway up the mountain so you can enjoy the views even if you're just starting out. Check out the Stellar Chair for some beginner runs!

Revy is a great mountain that they screwed up by not accounting for the extremely low base elevation when they built the lift system. It can be address by future lifts but they may never get built.
@OresPaz Жыл бұрын
Why wouldn't they get built? Once the whole resort is finished, it'll be the biggest resort in North America
@danieltaylor3396 Жыл бұрын
@@OresPaz Revelstoke does not have a big enough local population to build the biggest resort in North America. The nearest cities, Vernon (pop 40k) has Silver Star nearby: Kelowna (pop 190k) has Big White; Kamloops (pop 90k) has Sun Peaks nearby. The nearest large city, Calgary (pop 1M) supports 7 or 8 resorts. Revy ain't that easy to get to and American skiers support Whistler but little else in big numbers in western Canada. In short, there is no viable business model for Revy to grow a whole lot bigger and to make matters worse Revy does not have enough intermediate family terrain and intermediates form the vast majorty of the skiing public. Want more proof, then answer this: why is Valemount Glacier Resort not getting built. Ok, I'll answer. Valemount, just like Revy is too remote and does not have enough local or regional population.
