Izzy was using the same combo he used in their first fight, when Alex got saved by the bell in UFC 281. This time he threw that same combo more knowing Alex's soft spot from the first round when Alex got saved by the bell. Izzy knew he had to adjust when he recognized that Alex was aware of it (the right hand to the equilibrium). The craftsman izzy is he knew that the only way to land the combo is to bait Alex in by playing possum. Genius.
