glad that for once the "apple didn't fall far from the tree" saying isn't effected here

OP learned some VERY valuable things about that restaurant. 1) The food is delicious. That alone makes it worth going back to the restaurant. 2) The owner is kind and gracious, and doesn't put up with shenanigans. That alone makes it worth going back to the restaurant. 3) The employees are empowered to deal with bad customers ("I already called the police, without waiting for the owner to give permission!"). THAT makes it a business that should DEFINITELY be supported. Too many businesses bow to the jerk customers, because they are afraid of losing business, so they don't let the employees stand up for themselves, or for other customers. But by empowering the employees, the owners ensure that the employees will TAKE CARE OF THE GOOD CUSTOMERS, while WEEDING OUT THE BAD ONES. In the long run, that makes for a MUCH better business, with MUCH better customers, who will tell all their friends, "This place is GREAT!" Heck, I've seen enough places where they don't stand up for their employees, or the employees don't stand up for customers, that when I see empowered employees (which means that the owners treat them right!), I would eat at such a restaurant, even if the food was merely "OK." I think that, by helping the OP, in the first place, and then following it up with free ramen and paying for the shirt, that business owner made a brilliant investment, because that one customer will become a loyal return customer, thus bringing a NEW business much repeat business, AND he's going to tell his story to all his friends, and bring in EVEN MORE customers. And I have a feeling that the OP will come and order more than just the free bowl of ramen. He'll order some side dishes, so he'll still pay for something on each visit, because he's a good person. That is evidenced by him telling the son and his wife, "Make sure to apologize to the restaurant owner, too."

Whenever I get a free meal at a restaurant I leave a more generous tip. I once got a free small pizza as a birthday gift at a pizza parlor that I was a regular at. The nice waitress even put a candle in it ahahahahah. I left a 10 dollar tip even though the pizza would have cost me only about 12 dollars had it not been a gift. I hope the guy will leave a nice tip when he gets the free ramen.

Gee, that lady was really crazy! With all the spices she puts into the ramen, the OP will definitely get a stomachache if he eats it.
@AuntLoopy1232 жыл бұрын
And she'd probably review it with, "The ramen was HORRIBLE! Too many spices!" As if it were the chef's fault. I literally just ate, but now I want ramen, just from looking at this. Not the "just add water" packaged ramen. I want REAL ramen. There are no ramen restaurants in my area. Pity. I think it would be SO COOL to have a ramen restaurant, and, instead of sports playing on TVs all over like at those "sports bars," they could have anime playing. Like, individual booths, with high walls between them, and a small TV at each one, and you can choose your anime to watch, while you enjoy your meal. Wouldn't that be AWESOME?! Sure, a lot of people would think it's nothing more than a weeaboo hangout, but a LOT of people appreciate Japanese culture, without being weeaboos. Maybe they could have a separate room, like a "smoking room," only for weeaboos, instead of smokers. Hahah.

Man, what’s this lady’s problem because she’s acting like a Karen and she done a multiple place’s. Glad that her son put her in a home, but to honest she should have been institutionalized.
@AuntLoopy1232 жыл бұрын
Sounds to me like the sort of home he put her in IS an "institution" in fact, if not in name. Some homes for the elderly are actually locked down, so they can't wander off and get into trouble.

Some people just want attention She didn't follow the siting rule. Sit one seat away from someone at the bar if you can. Also Not only was she rude to the owner but try to micromanage other people's food and physically assault them. If she told me to shut up and hurry up I would have told her to leave before she even started

I don’t know how I feel about this video we never got an answer why the crazy lady did she do other than getting arrested and thrown into one elderly facility she really didn’t get much punishment so I don’t think it counts as revenge!! It sounds like she was either actually crazy or suffering from dementia. Either way it is not someone you seek revenge on. It's a person that needs professional help. Not that crazy people and dementia sufferers can't be total assholes, they often are. It's just that their brain is malfunctioning and usually more deserving of pity than spite.

This was more a RESTITUTION story than a revenge one. I would have liked to see the poor guy who owned the restaurant get restitution. Its hard to calculate his losses. The money he paid the guy to cover dry cleaning for his ruined shirt, the money he could not charge the guy because his soup was ruined, the restitution he gave the customer for 10 free bowls of soup, and the disturbance probably kept OTHER customers from coming in. Most people if they see a police commotion in a restaurant will avoid it and eat somewhere else. Even some of the other customers who were there might have lost their appetite after seeing the incident. I was hoping to see the old hags family give him a few grand or something.

The video seems really slowed down for the VA's to narrate. Now it seems here that the old lady has dementia or something that causes her to act in the way she did, If that were the case what is she doing out of an asylum or hospital? It's so cool that the owner was so nice, giving OP free ramen and money, if I were his customer I'd start recommending friends and family for meals there.

Yikes she is crazy. Sequel idea: Crazy lady escapes and returns. The woman breaks out of the home and watches the ramen shop and sees the man. She follows him home and leaves letters that say you ruined me. Also packages with thrown out ramen or live rats to infest his home. He contacts the police to report it and they discover the crazy lady escaped the home and they are searching for her. Then they capture her and she admits she did that to him because he made her own son get rid of her and doesn't even visit her. Her son and his wife return again to apologize again and send her to a more secure nursing home in another state and the s.on tells him he and his wife will pay for any damage and then move to the same state his mother is going to so they can watch her and visit her to make sure she doesn't escape

This was a sad story I think the family did right putting the mom into a home .. I think from experience she had a non diagnosed social or mental illness or dementia/ Alzheimer's disease .. I hope she can get the help she needs to get her back on track.. I worked in homes like that and it's not pretty on how some of their conditions are when they arrive but with love and care some can go back into society with knowledge and sense of knowledge on how to care for themselves with there diagnosis.

Why did she act like that? Other than she's crazy?🤪 😜 Why was she taking pictures of the store? Why did she scream "Shut up!" every time someone spoke to her? Why did she feel the need to mess with that guy's ramen? It would've been nice to have some sort of explanation to just WHY that crazy Karen did what she did...
