When I was 9, my teacher would always line everyone and ask questions like "What's 9+13-5/7"? And we had to make mental math.. In Brazil, at least at my state, when you're takings tests you're not allowed to >> have a calculator, have anykind of paper with you, have your cellphone turned on, talk or sleep (until 2 years ago we also couldn't eat during the tests, but they now let us). However, you can ask some questions to the teacher who's watching the class, but he can't say anything that could lead you to an answer... It's kinda frustrating LOL I just finished school and I my grades was always below 6 (our grades in Brazil go from 0 to 10, so 6 is like a D- or "meh, you tried") because I wasn't quick enough to answer all 48 questions of math+portuguese+literature within 3:30hours and do an essay about that was revealed to us 10minutes before the test started. It really sucks.. I finally finished school and now I don't even feel like starting college soon, 'cause I'm rlly tired LOL
