Saw a guy riding a RonJon longboard yesterday, he rode a right wave (goofy footer) almost identical as the one 2:39 the only issue I had was that he thought he owned the line up with his cheap a$$ rashguard and boardshorts. I started surfing as a kid in Durban in 1985, in those days there were lots of people trying there luck, but today there are so many people in the water doing all sorts of things in the waves, the bonus now is the technology is there to catch the antics. So my error got lucky, yes were all kooks once, i just did not get caught on camera

Makes it look like the guy on the far left is an idiot, but if you watch closely it was actually a paddler who duck dived way too late who caused the left surfer to sway and avoid the paddlers head, this causing a collision. So to be fair, the kook was the late diver. And the fact that at this break there's 3 people on a wave.
