I love how I still like the "simplicity" of vanguard way back then (Dont get me wrong, I also love the G era and the reboot). No strides or imaginary gifts. just a deck of 50 cards,and you're good to go XD

Actually at this point, this was the most complexity the deck got to. Legions were easier. Cross rides and limit breaks and break rides made things very hard to promise a perfect run up.

Yeah and only a few number of clan able to go up against each other and considered meta. I hate it when there are just some clan that will always be better than the other one, even now.

@@werewolfjedi38 that's because "archetypes" didn't exist back in the day and there was no explicit synergy between cards, you had to go through all cards and think about combos yourself. Which is something G and even the reboot lacks, everything is so blatantly shown to combo with each other makes it less rewarding when you take time out for deckbuilding

Human Soul But you can in the reboot? Hell it’s actually better in the reboot because it makes no sense how the creatures are summoned to earth when they live on cray, and having the units have a sort of psychic link between the two makes way more sense IMO

@@Alphine_Agnitio what we're saying is Vanguard is a card game. The intense fighting and pressure are all on the cards and the strategies the players use and it is what excites us. It makes the fights more grounded and relatable. Although it was nice seeing the fights with more movement in the more recent ones, it only takes up the time where they should focus on the actual battles themselves.

A) you can find find vg players that played way back 1st era tho this is difficult and not sure if they still have those B) a cardshop with singles stacked in a book (very overpriced, but is prolly cheaper coz its rarely used anymore) C) join an fb group or any social media that may sell cards like these

That’s actually a very op effect. Drop 2 cards and stand up. It so simple but to powerful at the same time. Since he doesn’t lose his twin drive check he can constantly keep using the effect over and over again. Good thing the IRL version was powered down a bit

It's actually accurate to the irl version, the first stand was due to dragonic overload the breakride's skill, not reverse's skill

@@just__christian8305Disclaimer: All of these are based on my opinion and you don't have to agree with what I say. If my opinion hurts others, it's just an opinion. I have to admit, G was pretty good. However, bushi did dirty stuff especially tje recent reboot. The storyline became average with so many lacklusters in the delivery on attempting to give a new series. Fights became too predictable and there are many loopholes to the plot and some repetitive stunts pulled off. They even had to bring back Aichi with no significant contribution to the plot. Animation went mediocre (I guess the budget for the show have been decreasing) and Bushiroad became more profit based. I still have some love for the show but a good plot makes a better selling point for the company.

@@blackfiresprout The reboot was a failed attempt that got capitalized due to it's former glory but they missed out the point that having a quality anime (in all aspect) is a huge factor on attracting more players instead of "hey, since people loved Aichi, lets revive him and the original series cuz blah blah blah" and now, the anime is very confusing and no progression was made. It's like the problem was not even that much of a big deal nowadays and Shin arc had the most confusing plot.

When Vanguard first came out I was watching most of it dubbed and I didn't stop the video to read all the sub because I wanted to practice reading fast. Anyway I went through almost two sessions thinking Ren was a GIRL! I was off the Computer because I was at camp came back went to episode 1 all the way to session 3 dub and was surprised to find out Ren was a MAN!

Lol how?? XD i first saw him from the shadow paladin trial deck box and didn't question his gender. I just immediately saw him as male. Decided to watch the anime just to see him. 😂😂 and of course, despite having seen Kai's coolness for the 1st few episodes, i was just looking forward to seeing Ren. The moment he appeared in the anime, he became my fave.

dakota doyle Perfect guards require you to drop cards from hand whilst quintent walls do so from the deck; Kai probably wanted his hand as big as possible so he could Rebirth lock all 5 rear guards.
