Revenue federal government receives has ‘shot through the roof’

Sky News host Paul Murray says according to the ABS and budget papers, the Bureau of Statistics has released “how much revenue the federal government has been getting” in the past couple of years of budget cycles.
Mr Murray said obviously “COVID was low” but “geez it’s gone up” since.
“It’s just shot through the roof in the first year of the Albanese government,” he said.
“Don’t tell me there’s no money going around.
“The Herald Sun calculated today the Average Australian taxpayer is paying about $13,000 in income taxes last year.”

Neither politicians nor media understand federal government financing. Federal government is a currency issuer. It does not need revenue. It can pay ALL the bills in local currency. It can take on the burdon of state and council expenses as well if it wants to. Chicken does not go shopping for eggs. Purpose of tax is to give authority to local currency. NY Federal Reserve chairman in 1946 itself had declared that taxes for revenue are obsolete. In a double sided accounting system, government surplus is society's deficit. Do you want to have your government in surplus now? Government budget should be outcome oriented and not surplus oriented.

I'm tired of all the people complaining that if wages go up, businesses will suffer. How did businesses survive in the past when 1 wage was enough to run a prosperous household? Wages should be near double what they are now to be akin to wages against cost of living 50 years ago. No more than 50% of income should be for needs. I live in a 2 income household and we only just squeeze under that with a tiny house miles from our workplaces. Only have to sell our entire time in existance to achieve it.

The day after Labor's much lauded tax breaks fuel went up 20 cents a liter where i live which forced up transport and farming costs then alcohol tax went up as well my special buy from BWS went from $20 for three 750 ml bottles to $22.20 Then power and Gas went up so all the tax breaks get swallowed up they give with one hand and steal with the other.Labor is addicted to higher taxation
