I’m a glass blower starting off! Your videos have helped me grow so much since I started this December! I honestly can’t believe less then two months ago a struggled to make a pendant and now Im not only able to make a pipe but I know multiple ways to make them and can play with the shapes and designs!

BRO! Got my first paying glass job making solid color blow outs this past week! Now I’ve got a way to expand on it with the color fade tech! Sweet colors on that baller jar too... I’m gonna have to find some of that blue dream color, it shares a name with my favorite strain:) Thanks as always for sharing!

Wanted to comment for a shot at those grabbers. I'm new behind the torch and still building my tool selection. One of the best tools at my disposal is the Revere online school. My favorite thing is to watch a video and go and try it. Gave me the confidence to do blowouts!

Nice vid! The lid is a 38mm if I remember. Used for half & full gallon glass jug bottles. Take a fresh lid and burn all the paint and gum off it. Then wax it up with your beez wax to test fit those threads ✌ claw grabbers will give a better hold on that lid

Sweet fade, I messed around on the torch a couple of weeks ago and made something similar to that jar. I did well with the fade and terrible with the removal from the blow tube and shaping of the jar. I made what looks like a condensed melted jar but I learned from what I did and will keep trying to succeed. Thanks for the videos!!

My trick with jars is you can use those claw grabbers, hold one of your lids in the flame and burn out the seal and paint. I've got multiple sizes burned out as my maker lid. I also finish pulling my blow tube off while holdjng the jar with the lid so I can make sure my lid sits flat when I flatten the bottom.

Very cool. Of course the other route for quick and dirty threads that will fit a specific lid, is the trick you showed back during the lockdown series with your water bottle. Buy a cheap bottle with a top, cold cut the top with the threads off, make your custom bottle, then encalmo the custom bottle to the pre cut machine made bottle top, and flame out the seal.

I just started and ended up getting an alpha and a lynx. Haven't used the lynx yet because I'm scared to fuck it up lol.
@mountainsteward77764 жыл бұрын
@@mindzai_glass8993 I was taught if you clean it regularly (get the gtt cleaning wires from mountain glass) and always make sure to leave both oxygen's on at least a little, and keep your candles at least an inch long and with a little yellow in them you'll be good to go. Lynx is perfect to learn on. If you eventually screw up the face you can upgrade to a phantom or a mirage and already have the gtt experience. Fire that pupper up!
@mindzai_glass89934 жыл бұрын
@@mountainsteward7776 I think im just about comfortable enough to bust it out. Ive started a "bad" habbit using the barrel of the alpha to break off cold seals so ill grab a L marver for the lynx and get her going. GTT actually sent me some of those wires and a little brush when I purchased it. Thank you for the words of motivation!
@mountainsteward77764 жыл бұрын
@@mindzai_glass8993 yeah! Awesome. You already know. I use a brass v blade and it's a really good surrogate for poppin your punties off. Try rolling your cold seal on the corner of your marver, it'll pop off from thermal shock 90% of the time. 💙🐻

If you would want to fade a blue with a red would temperature be a major factor due to the different materials used to create the different colors? Such as reds made with cadmium, I believe that’s what it is, versus the colors on the blue side of the color wheel.
