@@asad_aeI think pros just have a different outlook on the game and characters. For 99% of players (myself absolutely included) Alisa’s strengths can be overwhelming. However I also think they are the type of strengths that pro players will see and think “if I’m dealing with that BS at all, it’s because I made a clear mistake”, and not making clear mistakes is the baseline of what they expect from themselves. But I think that’s only 1 player out of every 10,000 (or less) who actually is at the level of skill to be able to approach the game that way. Basically, my feeling is that once someone has developed the strongest counterplay against her, Alisa’s threat is more neutered than when other top characters face the same level of counterplay. Her ceiling at a pro level seems lower, frankly. I think Nina and Feng are top tier at a pro level because even though their individual tools may not be as strong on their own, they will still work just as well no matter how much counterplay you’ve developed against them and at that level, their limitations have more to do with the player than the character. Like their movesets are really strong but they also require quite a bit of investment to get them to that level. I could be totally wrong but that’s the feeling I get.

There's NO WAY Reina is anywhere even close to the other top tiers mentioned. I main Reina and she has to work so so much harder than the others. Reina is a cursed character. One of the most difficult in the game yet people act like she's Victor level easy. Gets a bunch of hate despite not having the success on or offline that the real top tiers have. Its like invisible success even though the stats show otherwise. @@tryingtochangemyways5074 how did I downplay? I said hes one of the best in the game. But historically yoshi has been low tier. I'm saying let us keep our high tier yoshi for once. And yes all the characters I've listed are performing better than yoshi in high level tournaments. Weve maybe seen one or two yoshi players in the top 8 in twt events. Weve seen countless alisa, Jin, nina, drag, feng, and shaheens, so...dont really know what you mean.

@@gabehorne4791 hes always had it and its seeable. Yeah there are setups for it, but you just have to lab the oki, like any other lab character. Just because it's cheap doesnt mean its broken. Should we take away all of kings command grabs because you cant break throws? Also, the grounded sword thing is a tradeoff. If the opponent stays on the ground, yoshi gets less damage than a standard combo, so it's a risk yoshi takes for less damage in return of maybe the opponent gets up aks gets guard broken and we get more damage than a standard combo. It's a setup, which you know...most characters have. I'm not trying to downplay him. I literally said he was top tier in my comment, but the people replying I can tell dont know much about yoshi, so...

I've been a yoshi main since the very beginning and after the new patch I get ki charged and teabagged like 50% of the time 💀a strong Yoshi makes people salty as hell But idc what the manchildren and waifu players say I will always keep playing my goofy lil ninja >_

Well when a character rewards brainless neutral such as parry spam and 50/50 strings people will be pissed. Yoshi hands down is of the most annoying characters to fight simply because he can steal his turn for no reason. Mfs don’t even time the parry half the time. If they add much more recovery frames so dumb ass Yoshis can get launched then id be ok with it

@@PSNDarkSouL lol parry spam and 50/50 strings? Yoshi's parry is rarely used and he doesnt have any 50/50 strings at all. And if you mean flash when talking about his parry, it is launch punishable...it doesnt need recovery frames if you can already launch it bro.

@@PSNDarkSouL sorry but I can't take the flash complains seriously, they already nerfed it to the point where it whiffs simply bc it has shit range which is why you have to think twice before using it. Sure it works against mashers in red or purple but in blue and higher more people understand how to bait and punish flash. If you think its such a free move then why don't you go ahead and rank up to gold with yoshi? I promise you it's punishable. Maybe stop mashing for once. Also his parry (3+4) is one of the worst in the game. Nothing about Yoshi is brainless, his pokes have shit recovery and are pretty linear. Don't get me wrong I agree he is one of the strongest characters but claiming he is brainless or easy just makes you look like a salty scrub. His gameplan is hard to master which is why he's so rare in tournament play, it's much easier to pick drag or feng and go for aggressive 50/50 gameplay.
