There are some characters(like Marcus and Vila iirc) that give specific buffs to specific positions. I feel like pioneer is a testing ground for a new type of "position shift team". Plus there are tons of uttu cards that give buffs to specific positions, so skills like pioneer's can come in handy.

@@someoneontheinternet6173 uttu is like whole another story imo bcs position only matters if you pick the cards that actually matter, while in general fights position doesn't really influence anything as in enemy targeting system etc
