Reverse a Fusion to a Disc Replacement- you ‘CAN’ but SHOULD you?! 🤯

I feel my fusion is degrading the rest of my back. Every month I feel worse. I desperately want a large portion of my fusion reversed . I didn’t even know disc replacement was an option. My doctor acted like a fusion was the only option I feel robbed. I competed in multiple Olympic trials. I am horrified that my doctor didn’t even give me the option for disc replacements.

Fusion uses metal to ke44ep the spine in place. Meanwhile the spin2e is deteriorating, leaving the metal in place. There is no positive outcome for fusion.

Fusion uses metal to stabilize the spine. Meanwhile, the spine continues to deteriorate, leaving the metal in place. There is no positive outcome for fusion. The spine becomes immovable, limiting the mobility of the patient.

I think People are trying to ask if the hardware can be taken out after the area of the spine has been fused.That alone is another surgery in its self..But most surgeons don’t recommend doing that unless there is a major problem?? Correct? Do you use all titanium hardware in your fusions? Where do you take bone grafts from? The hipp? Thanks
