Cursed-Energy itself is a negative substance, it's born from the negativity leaked through negative human emotions and when compiled together it can even give birth to Cursed-Spirits. Sorcerers use Cursed-Energy for basically everything a Sorcerer does, from amplifying strikes to powering Cursed-Techniques. High level Cursed-Energy volume, output and control is a central part to any strong Sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen. But while Cursed-Energy itself is pretty simple its counterpart isn't, while Negative Cursed-Energy is something every Sorcerer has experience using, Positive Cursed-Energy is rare outside of the undeniable strongest in the series. It's rare to see because it's not exactly an easy feat to pull off, even for many Grade-1 Sorcerers using positive energy can seem impossible. If you think of Negative Cursed-Energy as a literal Negative, than multiplying Negative Cursed-Energy by more Negative Cursed-Energy together, positive Cursed-Energy can be born, this is Reverse Cursed-Technique at its core and understanding this signifies a sorcerers nearly unparalleled level of Cursed-Energy control. Its overcomplicated nature also created many misconceptions across the fandom about Reverse-Cursed-Technique and Positive Energy as a whole, It also isn't really explained all too much throughout the manga unlike the standard Negative Cursed-Energy and with new exposition with the recent chapters in the manga it makes all the more sense to finally talk about it. In this video I'll be going over everything you need to know about using Reverse Cursed-Technique and clearing up any confusion I've seen along the way. Gojo isn't just using RCT to heal his brain and recover his cursed technique. The manga was very explicit about the fact that burnout is not the same as breakage, and literally in the exact panel that you showed, Yuta made it clear that you can't use RCT to heal a burnt out technique, since you have to let your brain / engine cooldown. After a domain expansion, Gojo's technique is burnt out like an overheating engine. To recover his technique, Gojo then intentionally damaged his brain with regular cursed energy, essentially breaking his overheated engine. Then, he healed his damaged brain instantly, thereby "resetting" his brain and cursed technique.

yep, but even that has limits. it's like your pc overheating, so you close a program and open it again. now it works. but the computer still hasn't fully cooled down. and at some point, it heats up so much that even if you break it and repair it, it just won't work anymore. how long until it's usable again? who knows, but I don't think sukuna will be able to use his domain for the rest of this fight.

There is a misconception with mahito. Mahito's CT doesn't damage the soul, it changes the shape of it. Humans have physical bodies, and depending on how you shape it, the human can die. RCT can't reshape anything, only restore what was damaged. This is why mahito is so lethal. Depending on how he shapes someone's soul, RTC won't be able to do anything about it.

Reverse curse isn't what is screwing with gojo and sukuna. The problem is gojo and sukuna are using normal curse energy to destroy the part of their brain that houses curse technique and then reverse curse technique to heal their brains. This destruction and reconstruction is what is taxing them.

Based on this explanation i understand why Gojo uses red so often. Attacking an embodiment of negative energy with more negative energy is a little redundant when positive energy is literally their kryptonite. But for anyone else to use an offensive variation of reverse curse technique would be too taxing for more that a few attacks.

Nanami's reversed curse technique may sound stupid but it would double the number of weak points for him to strike. He would be able choose either the 7:3 ratio or 3:7 ratio that are on opposite ends making it insanely harder to block or dodge so the technique would still be practical

no it's still stupid, because nanami can choose where the 7:3 is. a single arm can have infinite weak points, depending on perspective. like think of a ruler with 10 cms. the weakspot is at 7 cms right? but you can also look closer, and say within the 10 cms, you only look at the first 5 cms, and the weakness is now 3.5 cm. or you only look at 1 cm within the 10 cms, and 0.7 cms is the weakness. it's all relative.

Something I probably missed, it was probably explained, was why couldn’t maki’s scars couldn’t heal. Was it because the healing wasn’t immediate? Or was it just because Shoko doesn’t have the absurd amount of cursed energy? Because Gojo, Hikari and Yuta have insane amounts of cursed energy so is that what allows them to completely regenerate? Using Mahito's conclusion about why Sukuna didn't help Yuji is kind of stupid. First off, he was operating with incomplete knowledge. The reason Sukuna didn't do it to force Yuji into a pact, was because he already had a pact, which Mahito didn't know. And he also already had a plan involving Megumi. There is actually no proof that you can't heal idle transfiguration with a sophisticated enough reverse cursed technique. Actually there is more proof that you CAN do it because in later chapters it is revealed that the soul and the body is actually one and the same.

Even Mahito who had a perfect understanding of the human soul was surprised when Geto commented to him that it appeared as if the soul and body was one and the same. I could turn the query around on you actually. If Sukuna actually did not have the ability to counteract idle transfiguration, how come Mahito couldn't use it at all against him? I strongly believe that this will all come into play with Yuji's future cursed technique. Maybe a soul swap ability of some kind, activated by clapping his hand against the person he wants to swap with as a little nod toward Todo. We all saw something going on with Yuji's sparring match where it appeared as if someone else was inside his body. That clap on the back on Gojo was also pretty sus.

And its already confirmed in universe that A) The soul and body is the same thing. B) Sukuna cannot be affected by idle transfiguration and C) Mahito was confused why Sukuna didn't make a binding pact with Yuji in exchange for helping him undo idle transfiguration. A binding pact REQUIRES you to uphold your end of the deal. Sukuna would not have been able to create the pact if he was unable to do it. Most sorcerers wouldn't understand how to do it though because when they are healing with RCT they are just filling the mold that is their soul. They have no idea what the shape of the soul is nor can they perceive it. But Sukuna can see it. Yuji can see it now as well (as well as touch the soul as evidenced by him being the only one who could actually hurt Mahito). And pretty sure Gojo can with his 6-eyes.

The Mahito Sukuna point doesn't work at all because Mahito doesn't know Sukuna at all. He doesn't know if he can heal or not. Us knowing doesn't matter, I mean what are you going to do tell him yourself? Also Mahito is talking about the SHAPE i.e when he contorts your body not when he say rips off an arm or blows up your body. RCT can heal all damage. Geto had Shoko heals his wounds from the split soul katana. Reshaping seemingly cannot be fixed by RCT but neither Sukuna nor Gojo have tried so that's still up in the air. Also it was never stated you automatically get Cursed Technique Reversal. Gojo knew about Red because it was written down on how to use it and Kenny has a centuries worth of experience. SO it seems like you actually need to train that aspect.

RCT on it's own has always been used to heal and replenish. As opposed to reinforcement with negative energy. That's it's function. I don't think you'd be able to do a black flash with it since it requires the flow of negative energy. Thought this might not be the case as Mahoraga's sword was imbued with positive energy. Yes its definitely possibly to charged one's cursed technique with RCT. Kenjaku was another example of this being possible as his antigravity technique charged with RCT became a gravity technique which intensified the gravity within a certain radius of himself. A Domain Expansion is literally imbuiding their cursed technique onto a barrier. It must probably rely on it being the original technique instead of the inverse. Or it might be possible, but since RCT takes up a lot of cursed energy, it would be inefficient. Especially when you put a domain on top of it.

I don't think we can assume that sukuna would have healed junpei even if he wanted to make another pact, so reverse cursed technique still might be able to reverse mahito's soul shaping. Remember, mahito is the one figuring this out, and he doesn't understand cursed energy on the level that sukuna does First, sukuna already has a deal with Yuji, so he doesn't need to make any deals. He also has a plan for exactly how he'd use that deal to take over megumi's body. Second, he may decline the deal just because he doesn't want to help yuji. The more desperate/defeated someone is, the less they can fight their possesser, so he may have been trying to break yuji the same way he broke megumi. He also may have just wanted to hurt yuji because he is sukuna. Third, he may not have even wanted another deal. As it stands, his deal with yuji is completely in the dark. Gojo is likely the only person who knows they made a deal, and even he doesn't know what the deal is. If he made a deal in front of mahito, not only would mahito and possibly yuji know the conditions of the deal, but there would be another instance of sukuna making a deal with yuji and others would likely catch on that he was healing people for deals.

Ten Shadows uses shadows as the shikigami medium, so I assume that light would then be the medium Imagine this Ten Lights Technique where you can summon them wherever you like and instead of travelling through shadows, you travel through light beams

Technique reversal only reverses the process, not the actual medium. It wouldn't change what the technique actually manipulates. Gojo doesn't suddenly manipulate time with technique reversal, the natural direction his technique travels in is flipped. Gojo can already repel things with Neutral Limitless just by strengthening it. His technique lapse causes the vacuum effect, so the reversal is something flipped from the maximum application of his technique. So, my assumption would be Ten Shadows reversed would be unsummoning. So, maybe, capturing someone into the technique. But probably not since he can already drag things into the shadows, though I don't think we've seen him do that to a person outside his domain. But being able to do that in his domain was him expanding his interpretation.

This is one big problem i always had with the series, they only explained how some stuff works when some character needs to get saved by using such move/mechanic and there are multiple instances of this happening. It's not like i want the series to hold my hand the entire time but look at HxH for example, they always make sure to explain how stuff works before they aply it on a fight so that we as fans understand what's going on without needing an entire page explaining what just happened. It's basically a meme a this point in the fanbase that 80% of the fans are reading but they don't understand jack shit of what's happening.
