Reverse engineer the lead synth sound and bass from The Crystal Method from the album Vegas and the song "Trip Like I Do" that comes in right after the words "until the crystal cracked".

@@attackmag yeah I really liked this one. For someone like me who’s bad at sound design, and desires these old school sounds, it’s great! Definitely like the usage of native Ableton instruments too. Tired of relying on default patches and tweaking synths and making them sound worse. Love this type of content

Nice tutorial! The second note of the bassline is an A though, not the same B as the 5th note.
@attackmag2 жыл бұрын
Hi! We've re-looked into this. Are you sure? We've done some A/B testing. Seems to be an A to us?!
@ainsbass2 жыл бұрын
@@attackmag Hi, that was what I said (guessing you meant to type B in your response?). However I'm starting to think that you're right, and that I've been playing it wrong all these years haha!!
@attackmag2 жыл бұрын
@@ainsbass Yes sorry typo! We are 99.9999% certain we're playing it right :) New one in this series is out now...kzbin.info/www/bejne/pom4q3VuppV8n5o
@AutPen386 ай бұрын
It's not an A, but I think this video has it wrong. The piano roll at 0:46 shows the bassline starting with F# B F# E B F#, but on the record I think the first run-through of the bassline goes F# C# F# C# B F# (note the two C sharps, not B and E). It's only on the second run-through in bar five that the second note is a B (followed by a quick C# and the high F#).
@AutPen386 ай бұрын
I could be persuaded that the second (very short) note is a B, but it clearly drops to C# (the fifth of F# minor) after the first high F#. That E is bang out of place.
