Can you get methyl groups production with B6 and B12 supplements ? In that case can you take NAC with a Vit B complex (a natural vitamin) rather than with Glycine?
@PrevMedHealth
@PrevMedHealth 8 ай бұрын
Methyl groups are important and related to both Glycine and B vitamins. It involves a thing called methylation. Homocysteine is a known cv risk factor. The mechanism was recently discovered to be related to methyl groups, oxidation, & the body’s inherent version of antioxidation. The short story is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqS9l5t7gMxmjqMsi=TirN_EZ5sYCErUI7

I'm wondering if fiber is implicated only in microbiome health. If your microbiome is healthy, then maybe it's not required.

Glad to hear this. I have NAC and I use magnesium glycinate, and TMG (trimethylglycine) to use with NMN. I need all the help I can get as I am a boomer!

When I do glycine and Nac I don't need to take my Zyrtec for allergies. So I know it's lowering Inflammation at least in my nose. Also, after taking NAC starting a couple years ago my dreams are much more vivid and usually in color.

Been a fan of N-Acetyl Cysteine in combination with C, Selenium, Aloha Lipoic Acid in combination since I read Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw's magnificient work in the late 1980s and created a concoction of anti-oxidents that reduced my raging ANA titers to normal levels. Sinai Hospital in Baltimore started using my protocol for HIV patients wanting "complementary" therapies.

Btw most of the capsule material of the capsules of supplements are composed of glycine About 200mg thus your nac is already together with glycine , if packaged in the usual capsules !!

Why is NAC preferred over L-Cystein? Wouldn't taking L-Cystein in place of NAC circumvent the Methionine transition process, thus reducing the production of homocysteine?

Good logic.. you can buy Cysteine in bulk powder form too & save money...!!

A quick heads-up about another product that attempts to target the glycocalyx similar to aterosil is CX8 by Xtend Life. They also make a couple other heart based products. It's one of the few I've tried that I can actually feel a difference. It's a bit less expensive than Arterosil but not cheap.

Hi Doctor, can you please give me an idea if 100 mg/kg body weight of GlyNac as was used in the studies, is necessary? That is a lot of capsules for a 150 lb, 85 y o geezer. And expensive. I have been taking 1 G of Glycine and 1 G of NAC for several months.

What do you think about using DNA testing to determine what supplements might be useful for an individual? I take NAC and TMG as 2 separate supplements. I don't find them to be expensive, i do try to get a quality supplement. I am 57. My lifestyle isn't a problem. My weight is healthy, no drugs or alcohol, no diabetes, good diet, active. I take multiple supplements and have found that i do feel better, less physical and mental fatigue. My DNA testing says that i don't methylate well, so maybe the B vitamins etc are making a difference.

NAC and glycine aren't that expensive. I buy a 100 NAC for 12 bucks that last near three weeks. A large bottle of glycine powder that last near 5 months for $18. Take six NAC daily and 3 grms of glycine at the same time awhile before eating.
