Thanks Stuart. Firstly welcome aboard the channel. That is what I really want to get over to people, that there are some parts of the life people might find hard to contend with, it is not all idyllic, but lots of it is. I thought I was brave recording this video, because I was determined to show it no matter what the outcome. Fortunately for me I did not screw it up. First time I have reversed this boat for more than the length of the boat.

You approached the reversing with low speed whichis important as like everything in life its easier if you dont get into trouble in the first place👍. Stay safe mate. regards Stuart

@@tribsat100 As I am sure I have said before, one does not buy a narrow boat to go fast. So slow works nearly all the time.

Nicely done...! We’ve spent many a while at that water point, usually trying to keep the boat away from the horrid concrete wall that the tap sits on...🍷🍷

Hi Trev, just curious, why do you choose to switch the ignition off once the diesel is running. I appreciate the engine continues to run unless you pull the stop lever but won't turning the ignition switch to off position affect battery charging or deactivate any instruments or warning lights or buzzers.

That way I cannot forget it when I stop the engine. Once the ignition light goes out it is redundant. All the power then goes to the batteries and not wasted on anything else.

Looks like you could never be in a hurry to get somewhere. What’s top speed on such a craft?

In deep open water possible 6 miles per hour at a push. Generally on the canals 2-3
