I never intended on dating before I'm mature enough and earning on my own but then I met a guy from my college. He had a crush on me for over a year so I changed my mind because i thought if someone could wait for that long he would treat me right. It was both of ours' first relationship and i wont lie he treated me like a goddess in the beginning. He let me know i am the girl of his dreams and how happy he is to be finally with me through his words as well as actions. Cooking for me, tying my shoe lace, buying me a chocolate everytime we met up, picking me up bridal style, showering with gifts, showed up with the biggest bouquet on the first date, literally every kdrama bs you can imagine. It felt so dreamy...i ended up giving him my first kiss too and we often used to discuss our future together. I still remember how his face lit up with the biggest grin i have ever seen when we kissed for the first time. I met his elder sister too he wanted to make me a part of his family already Fast forward to 2 months later, this bish did a 180 turn on his personality. He went from everything a bf SHOULD be to everything a bf SHOULDNT be. Ignorant, emotionally unavailable, making me beg for him to make bare minimum efforts, a bad communicator, making me feel bad about ever expressing myself, calling me sensitive, stopped texting at all, stood me up on a date HE planned, started nitpicking my appearance joking about my weight, blackheads etc. He got cold feet and randomly told me he now thinks he doesn't see our future together and i shouldn't expect it to last after college. He also told me he feels too young to get into a long term commitment and he feels like he should be in a few short term relationships first (he meant hookups). I cried on the spot. I couldn't believe this is the same sweet guy who used to tell me I'm everything he wanted. I broke up with him eventually. Its so scary how fast people can change. How easily men lose interest or how they can lie and fake a personality so well and so easily to get what they want. I can't trust a guy the same after this experience. I really thought he was the one; my soulmate. Turns out he was just another emotionally immature mama's boy who chickened out when things were going too well
