It's 363 HP because it's a pushrod engine not overhead cam. The 3.6 L is in fact OHC. Overhead valve engines take up less space per displacement, so it's much smaller than an OHC 5.7 L V8 would be. You're totally incorrect about the "slip" in the 8HP. It is simply the best automatic trans out right now. Aston Martin doesn't use it just as a joke. Did Chrysler fire your nephew or something lmao

These run low 13’s stock with a good driver and conditions, and mid 13’s with a bad Driver. The car limits power in colder conditions. Same with how the transmission shifts. Not only that, with good sticky tires and a better intake and filter/Diablo tuner they run in the 12’s. Such a slow car? What meth is he on?

Since I am a die-hard Mopar user I'm jaded.... That being said, when he knocks on the drivetrain and trans shifting. He is unaware that in conditions below 40°F the CPU reduces power to better control the vehicle. Next time read the factory brochure and get a better knowledge of your going to give a " review"

@@Roger-ob2ft lmao 🤣 They only hit mid 13's with drag radials. 13.9 stock. Not bad for just a 5.7. The LS engines and 5.0's have very high compression and aggressive cams while the 5.7 doesn't have either and performs just fine.

This guy's voice annoys me. Not even a car enthusiast and reviews the car like it is an appliance. He doesn't get the appeal, this car has PRESENCE on the road. Just got a black on black 2017 300C Hemi Platinum and it is freakin' awesome!! It has more than enough power/torque and that 8-speed is silky smooth. It's absolutely loaded with tech and fit and finish is just fine. Great road trip car, it just glides down the road.

@@mji9208 yes, real wood trim on doors, dash and console. I don't think you can get a Platinum anymore though. I believe 300C gets wood trim and 300S gets piano black.

G8GTJav exactly. I’m waiting until they give the sport package to 300C trim level and I’ll get one. My wife thinks they are “old man” cars but I like them. Just enough power for good highway cruising and you get a lot for the money. She would rather me get a charger.

We have one,love it..the 5.7 wakes up with more miles on it..4.89 sec 0-60 and 13.42 in the 1/4 mile...We have the factory Mopar upgrade exhaust,rest is tock ....I still could improve on the 0-60 as I got wheel spin ,but its my wifes car so..

I've owned a 2014 300S and a 2016 300S and they were very good with fit and finish. The transmission was better on the 2016, but, overall, they were better that what he describes in this video. That said, I don't dispute anything he says. What we see in this review is the fact that Chrysler is going to abandon the car after 2019, so why work hard at making it better or more refined? It's going to die on the vine and Chrysler seems only to happy to let it go out with a whimper instead of a bang.

Damn you guys are right he is Mr negative. I have a 2005 Chrysler 300. That almost has 200,000 miles on it and still runs like a dream. I think it's built pretty good in my eyes. Had it for 7 years and nothing has fallen apart yet. The engine and transmission work great. Haven't added transmission fluid or service to transmission since I had the car. 7 years later still runs great. So I'm not sure what he's talking about quality-wise. Done watching his videos.😮

Seems like you are comparing this 300 to a 392 or 345ci charger or challenger with super track pack features and higher gear ratios. The 300 hemi has plenty of power and performance for what it is. A big modern American sedan. It's a luxury car not a all out street performer. I'm sure with a tune it can perform the way you seem to be wanting.

If you use the sport button on the dash in conjunction turning the shifter to sport mode it will tighten the steering even more and enhance the shifting. Mr negative must drive German cars, this car is half the price to purchase and half the price to maintain.

The car is luxury but he’s right, it uses cheap materials which kinda ruins the luxury vibes… I saw a 2021 used for sale with the steering wheel already peeling… the one who sold it was also an older man so he probably steered with both hands causing a bit extra friction on the already cheap leather it has on the steering wheel… overall tho crazy nice looking 300 and I’m currently in the looks for a 300s with the 5.7 hemi 🔥

It's not only how it looks. It's because there is no real value when it comes to $ amount vs what you get. Almost any other car in this class would give you much more in terms of tech, power, and comfort. If you like the style look at the Scat Pack Charger. You'll end up with way better vehicle and a lot more fun!
