Honestly if anyone is looking for a fun new civic, just get an si. They're really cheap for what you get. Fun, handles really well, and the gearbox is amazing. They will hold value better than any other new civic you could buy as well, aside from the type r.

I have this car ... it’s definitely a fun car to drive turbo responds quickly, has the same engine as the same year civic si and 2020s si non vtec but still runs like a vtec if not better ... pretty nice car

I have a 2016 Civic Touring sedan and this 2019 has several good improvements like the integrated Homelink garage buttons, volume knob and real shortcut infotainment buttons, and 18" tires. I even like the black front bumper mini chin spoiler although I prefer the '16-'18's chrome grille over the '19's black grille.

I just got a certified preowned 2016 touring. 26k miles listed at 19k got them down to 17k and they threw in the 100k mile 10 year bumper to bumper extended warranty. The performance may not be amazing, but its the fastest car I've ever owned so far, lol. Last car was a 2011 fusion SE. I drove Fords my whole life up till now, I would have got another Fusion, but Ford is not gonna be selling cars going forward, so I figured I had to get used to a new brand. But at least from my experience I can't really say a bad word about Ford. I drive a lot, and put 200k miles on each of my last 2 fords (2002 Taurus and the Fusion) No work but normal wear and tear on them.

If you get the refreshed 2020 Civic "si". You pretty much have a sporty car with almost every feature this 2019 touring Civic has except the all leather seats that are electric adjustable for the front passengers, the heated rear seats, and the cvt because the "si" is manual transmission.

I have the 2017 LX 6MT. My adaptive cruise control is my left knee. The LX is about 250lb lighter then that Touring (a lot less off the front end compared to touring) and I think a little more tightly tuned in the rear (links are different). Anyways, I'd be very surprised if the 2019 Corolla can keep up in the twisties. I suspect the 1.5t Accord 6mt dynamic is more comparable to mine. Given similar rubber, even the 1.5T Accord would have a tough time.

They need to put traditional blind spot and cross traffic on it. Lanewatch was cute for 5 mins. It would have been better if it was on both sides. And I agree they need the Accords stereo software in the Civic too. Like the Insight. And give it the steering wheel from the Accord. Rear air vents be nice too.

The Civic X has full speed ACC. Low Speed Follow is on all the Honda "cars" and on the Civic since 2016 for the 10th generation. For some reason the Honda SUVs and big vehicles don't have Low Speed Follow, yet other brands do. 🤔

Matt Maran Motoring Hahah, glad you had fun. The lighthouse road is a fun scenic road but not the best to open up a car. I’m a local and always drive there! Would’ve been hilarious to catch you in a review. There are faster longer roads within 10mins of this place that are amazing. Takes good 15 mins to do a one way pass on them, lots of switchbacks and hairpins. Probably the best driving roads for New Yorkers.

In my opinion the new 2020 Toyota Corolla is better than Civic. It looks so much more modern and conservative. I’m glad Toyota has kept it simple with naturally aspirated engines and designs. I’ve heard Honda’s have oil dilution and quality problems. Not to mention the nightmare turbo engines will be in the long run. My sister was going to buy a Honda but i convinced her to buy a Toyota.

it doesn't need it, just the timing will get lowered and you will lose some power. if you're driving thrifty for mpg's you will never notice it.

It's 91 recommended 87 required If you really wanted to save a few bucks at the pump you can put regular and it will be fine. Even from my experience day to day driving, the power isn't too different between the 2, but it has a pretty big effect on throttle response.

The forte offers great value for money being that they give a ton of options for 22k or less. I own a 2019 Corolla and even that is a massive improvement over the last gen

@skbuoy I had a 17 Mazda3 and now a 19 cx5. No issues with either in terms. Everything you touch is similar quality if not better to Toyota and league's better than Subaru. The Ford era stuff really fell apart after a few years, but the 2014s and up seem to be built alot better

Looks too much like a Toyota Prius from the back. Side profile isn't bad and the new, revised front end is an improvement that looks good I think.. Leather interior is a must, for me, with some side bolstering to hold you in place. The Touring model looks pretty good inside. Nice leather look, good looking gauges and decent materials used. Just wish Honda used an automatic transmission that wasn't a CVT. Best cvt transmission I have driven recently was in a 2018 Nissan Altima SV rental. I was actually convinced it was a traditional automatic because it shifted exactly like an automatic transmission. Didn't hang in the upper RPM range accelerating like mine and most others do. I could hear in this video the CVT transmission behaves like garbage. It's all in the programming and could be fixed to drive like a normal automatic transmission. The removal of the fake air vents is a HUGE improvement in looks... And common sense.
