Just picked up a Brand new 2023 Nline absolutely love it. I live in the country and travel 100kms a day to and from work and it's perfect for my needs 6.6L/100 at 105km/h in normal driving mode. Weekends we take it up to the hills around Mansfield vic use it in sport mode sticks to the road like shit to a blanket. I use apple car play never drops out I don't find any issues in the gearbox. My previous car was a 2012 FG XR6T Limited Edition I find the Hyundai just as much fun on a twisty road. Car is completely standard but I run it on premium 95. cheers for the review.

Regarding brake pedal feel, I prefer a more progressive pedal feel than the vehicles that come to a complete stop from 100kph just by having an asthmatic flea breath on the brake.

Thanks for your well presented. Agree re DCT. Not best choice for city stop go stuff. But, with time, excellent once you learn when to wrangle its foibles, at which time it's pays you back in spades. I'll stick with wife's '18 i30SRDCT,Turbo 1.6 Premium as it comes with all bells & whistles & is hot enough for fast passing B Doubles & semis on Freeway. Excellent car for seniors who do a bit of travelling yet haul teen grandchildren around Melbinium's less than perfect streets. Love those cooled (& heated) seats. :-) :-)

Had mine since August, its a pretty neat car. Got the version without the moon roof and better stereo. Wasn't worth it to me. I have driven vehicles with the big panoramic moon roof, does nothing for you as a driver. Might see it out of the corner of my eye. Neat if you have passengers and/or kids, but has no value as the driver.

@@PrinceofPeace2000 cool. I do like the car a lot except I feel it’s never had a 100% smooth power curve. It stuttered a lot when new and got injectors replaced. I’d say still not perfect. I’d love to drive someone else’s to compare! Runs better in 95ron fuel when it’s meant to run fine on 91! Dusk clutch is a bit off too, not terrible but again I’d like to test another car to see if all the same!?

Styling is better on i30. However Cerato GT has a better engine, better overall performance, more features and costs less. Also better fuel economy due to the better engine with increased compression ratio, longer warranty (7 > 5, my dealer gave me 10 years), option of both sedan and hatch and a nicer interior (The engine has been revised to include a new pressurized cooling system, higher compression ratio of 10, electronically actuated wastegate, and a new ECU (CPEGD2.20.3).). So I bought the Cerato GT, and I love it :)

It's the same engine and gearbox in both actually. I have an Elantra SR DCT with the same drivetrain and can assure you that the gear changes are not slow and once you learn how to drive it and make best use of the paddles and dct it's awesome fun on some twisty country or mountain roads.
@jay-uo2bi
@jay-uo2bi 5 жыл бұрын
@@markkershaw4461 That doesn't mean anything, anyways it is a revised version of the engine that has been improved and has a new ECU which changes the characteristics of the DCT and engine on the Cerato GT. This car is lighter and has been specifically designed to be more sporty in the way it drives. Also, I never said gear changes where slow or anything.

I understand the purpose of the N-Line models and think they're a great addition to the range. However, Hyundai made them look WAY too similar to the flagship N model to the point that they're virtually indistinguishable from each other to the untrained eye.
@mrbdamasceno
@mrbdamasceno 5 жыл бұрын
That's pretty much what every car manufacturer does, just see ST-Line from Ford or S-Line from Audi. You can however HEAR the difference and if you have an i30n you probably won't feel ashamed of other i30s looking like yours, you'll be proud of it.
@MrVroom1
@MrVroom1 5 жыл бұрын
@@mrbdamasceno oh I completely understand that but the difference with those is that while they look similar to their flagship counterparts, they still differentiate them enough so that visually they don't step on the toes of those models. However exhaust note aside, Hyundai has virtually made it look identical to the N which will probably piss off N customers.

@cjdacka

Agreed, it's aged much quicker than the previous model (which still looks quite good might I add), it also doesn't help that this one has halogen headlights.
@jay-uo2bi
@jay-uo2bi 5 жыл бұрын
I agree that pricing is a tad high, however it's a good car and isn't showing age in my opinion, still one of THE best looking hatches. I think they should of done the i30 line-up a bit different yes.
@ashcosmo3854

As an i30N owner I must say I feel a little bit robbed. The cheaper and slower model looks so similar it's hard to tell which is which. It's how I imagine Golf R owners feel about the Golf GTI, unless you look at the badge it's quite hard to tell the difference.
@mrbdamasceno
@mrbdamasceno 5 жыл бұрын
But that's where the similarities stop: the looks. You can't even compare one engine to another. I'm myself an owner of an i30n, and I think the N-Line looks good but at least where I live there isn't a huge price gap between both models so it's kind of a no brainer.

@@mrbdamasceno I got the best drive away I could on both. I30n 38,900DA I30N-line $24,500. Nearly 15k difference and the interior is actually nicer in the n-line. I couldn't justify it for my wife's car, if it was for me, it's 15k well spent.
