eriknephron gfr I’ll say they are low production, when relatively compared to their competitors. These F cars are kind of a niche market, not meant for everyone. Most people prefer the Germans because they are the horsepower gods/brand loyalty. Buying either this car or the German competitors NEW is dumb. All these cars depreciate a lot in the first year, hence, making them steals in the secondhand market. Personally, I would not buy a used German car unless I had an extended warranty.

@@gingerbreadman5756 Honestly I liked the GSF until I test drove it. It's an awkward car, sits as low as the RCF and interior space is way less than what you get with competitors. The sound and the V8 are definitely its greatest appeal, but why get one when the G80 5.0 V8 exists for about half the cost. It does the luxury quotient much better than the GSF and is up to date when it comes to technology unlike the GSF. If it were me (considering the amount money that Lexus wanted for the GSF) I could get an RCF and still have money left to cover 2/3rds of a G70, Stinger, or a G80 Sport.

I really do like the GSF, and with what it entails for the money it’s great for me because it’s a has N/A V8 5.0, RWD, 4 doors, reasonable space, and some old school Lexus/Toyota ergonomics like the stock for the cruise control 😂😄, I do like yellow paints metallic/ standard gloss, but I prefer the Blue mica 2.0, Infrared, Ultra White, but I really want the Lexus RCF 10 anniversary with Nebula Matte grey 🥵, Toyota and some Lexus products may not be as tech heavy as the competition but I don’t care because I’m about the driving experience who else 🤓🙋🏾♂️🧐
@brianh46255 жыл бұрын
That 10th anniversary looks amazing, but the pampering that matte pain require is a dealbreaker for me. I'm just waiting for a low mileage late model RC F with upgraded sound to up for sale, but the GS F is tempting. There's one for sale on carmax in nebula grey metallic for around 56k (20k miles).
@matthewmajestic10135 жыл бұрын
Brian Hood yes yes it is the 10th anniversary edition is quite a looker, but I’ll admit the matte paint would be something to hold you back from buying the 10th anniversary, that being said if it’s going to be your daily PPF would be very appropriate or track work, but the RCF would be my choice !, just because it’s a Coupé, and it still has the same powertrain, and has a lower price, but if you can find a used one with low mileage go for it 🙋🏾♂️😃, I would 🤓🙋🏾♂️

The RTI I agree does look old. BUT I still prefer it over a touchscreen. It's just so easy to move my arm across from the transmission stalk compared to lifting my arm up onto a screen. Also, once you get use to it (it doesn't take long at all) you can pretty much use it without taking your eyes off the road for much at all due to the positioning of the giant screen. Touchscreens are good on a phone. Not so much in a car imho...especially those that do not give any haptic feedback. My only gripe with the system is the lag.

@@BISCAYNEWAYS Yes and the great thing about Lexus engines, they don't require some crazy service expenses either. They use standard synthetic 5W40, that you can buy pretty much anywhere. You don't have to have some crazy degree in automotive engineering or pull half the vehicle apart to do the oil change. When I first worked for Lexus (technician), I was at how well everything was laid out and the thought behind things. Like holes/panels in place to get to the drain plugs and oil filters. SO you did have to remove the entire underbelly panels. The way everything is so overbuilt, that just looking at things underneath, you could see why the cars are so reliable. Toyota/Lexus are not a company on the cutting edge of technology, or using the most advanced manufacturing process (no carbon fiber control arms for example). They use what works and is reliable. SO outside of normal wear items and services, like you said, you won't be spending your hard earned money on repairs...

Considering that the GS production will be ceasing in the coming future, do you think that this will be end of the Lexus performance sedan as we know it. Rhanier Santiago true but in another decade it will be one of the few Performance sedans that a car net would even consider buying.buying a 10-year-old used AMG or M car with no warranty it’s just out of the question.

Isn't the GS lineup discontinued?
@gengstar095 жыл бұрын
In Europe yes. In the US, the GS is alive (at least until 2021). Unfortunately, you’ll have to order online, because dealerships are not stocking them.

The price point really killed it for me and many other buyers. It's priced at an M5 range but performs like a 550i 🤔
@arvinder46945 жыл бұрын
abcdLeeXY A comparably equipped M5 will be $120k whereas the GSF comes fully loaded at $88-89k. However, you are right right about the M550i performance comparison.

@@arvinder4694 I wanna see that M550i, 5 years after it leaves the dealer and half the shit on it doesn't work. It will also have an interesting depreciation.

Marek D. Haha yes! Most people buy German cars thinking their exorbitant prices imply great reliability, when it really is just paying a high price for brand name.

This car doesn’t suit yellow quite well. Needs more carbon accents to match.
