These aren't anywhere near Tesla price in reality. Bolts are currently selling for $8k to $11k below MSRP. And the $35k Model 3 is impossible to find. This is a significantly cheaper car, for sure.

The Bolt is much less than a Model 3. Cheapest Model 3 is $38K. Chevy is currently offering $16K in incentives, bringing the price of a fully loaded Premier model to under $30K. Plus, the Bolt exterior build quality is much tighter than the Model 3's huge panel gaps.
@PrimeAutotainment4 жыл бұрын
I see an $8,500 incentive for cash or $4,750 if you finance but never $16k. Does that include local state incentives or where can you find that? Good information!

Glad to hear it! That’s great. I know Chevy usually offers incentives in many models but they still price their vehicles way above what market values them at (just like Ford). I always list MSRP because it’s the one standard to go off of, incentives and rebates vary so much by location, time, competition, etc. hope you’re enjoying your car! 😁👍

It took 3 years but now the 2020 Bolts are available for under 20K with less than 50,00 miles on them, after the Federal Tax credit savings of 4K, In janurary of 2026 I predict the 2020 Chevy Bolts if you can find them for sale we'll be just 15,000 on average , also with low miles still under warranty on the main battery/engine.

@PrimeAutotainment4 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry about that. I planned to talk about it while driving and completely skipped over it. I didn’t realize until I started editing 😕. Using the paddle really slows the car down if you hold the paddle in just like the “L” mode is for one pedal driving. I’d you pull the paddle for a second and let it go it briefly slows you down and then goes back to normal coasting mode. It’s good for intermittent slow downs when coming to a stop of brief moments but I found myself putting the shifter into L mode for the one pedal driving and essentially using the regenerative brakes to the maximum anyways. It’s fun to manipulate the car with either option!

Test drove a 2017 with 47,000 miles on it. Felt like a brand new vehicle. I was in love. Sadly it couldn’t be sold until the recall was completed. So I had to look elsewhere. I looked at a 2020 premiere, but it was for lease only, which I felt way to uncomfortable with. I ended up having to get something I don’t love, but it’s still a nice car. I got a 2021 Chevrolet Malibu RS. HOWEVER, my next vehicle will be electric!!! Awesome video, very knowledgeable.

I wish I can see a real review of this car in action. Daily errands etc. especially going to the store. Like Walmart and Sams club which I do every week. I wanna see how much this car can pack in with the backseats down etc. I mean it looks like it can pack a lot. I also wanna know how it does on lousy streets. Does it soak in bumps well? Or does your backside feel it big time?? I’m trying to decide if I should buy this car. I wish I can rent it for a day but they don’t have these cars for rent here for some reason. I already test drove it but I can’t have it all day. I’m still undecided if I should pull the trigger on a bolt. If I buy one I promise I will post a much real world review for you all to watch. I will tell you the real story what it’s like to live with a bolt! Lol. GM is your listening let me borrow one for a day. My current vehicle is a 2015 Jeep renegade trailhawk. I fell in love with the bolt after test driving it. I think it will serve me well but the technology is still new. I don’t know if I wanna take this plunge yet into EV world. I want something I don’t have to do maintenance on as well. I am so tired of oil changes and all other other fluids you gotta change. Belts etc. and yes going to the gas station putting gas. Nowadays it seems I’m having to wait in line for gas. I think to myself. Hmmmm wish I had that bolt. I also drove a 2020 Prius. Nice car but still a gas engine to worry about. I’m not buying an EV to save the world. I’m buying it to save me the hassles of maintenance ICE cars have. I bought an EGO mower in 2018 and wow what a mower. I had no idea it could be so simple. Now I want my car to be the same way.

This is silly, considering nobody pays anywhere near Model 3 prices for the Bolt.
@PrimeAutotainment3 жыл бұрын
They still have the MSRP at that price. Incentives, rebates, discounts all fluctuate depending on several factors but they still claim that price. Regardless of what they actually sell them at...Might as well lower the MSRP.
@crucialryan3 жыл бұрын
@@PrimeAutotainment Right, they should lower the MSRP. But incentives have been bringing the price down over $10k-$15k for well over a year now. Tesla sells at MSRP, period. Chevy doesn't. Incentives and negotiations make a huge difference, obviously. You have to compare at the actual prices people are paying. This video is misleading.
@PrimeAutotainment3 жыл бұрын
@@crucialryan what’s misleading is Chevrolet pricing this at that price (still). For example the Ford Explorer was over priced for its redesign in 2020 and they couldn’t sell it without major discounts...so they dramatically lowered MSRP as a result. People pay widely ranging numbers for any vehicle, except Tesla like you said, and some people may not be able or willing to negotiate, the understanding of available incentives etc. dealerships take advantage of people all of the time. I review every vehicle at the price listed
@crucialryan3 жыл бұрын
@@PrimeAutotainment I don't necessarily disagree that dealers will sell for what they can. However, comparing the list price of a traditional sales channel vehicle like the Bolt with the list price of a no-haggle price like Tesla is misleading. GM has traditional dealers, Saturn is gone (no haggle). Like most dealers, it's not expected that you pay MSRP. Tesla is different. And comparing them at the MSRP is disingenuous. When you posted this review, Bolts were going for $15k+ under MSRP. So compare at list was, quite frankly, a lie. The pricing was based on published incentives, not even haggle pricing. You can look at True Car and get a market average, easily. And that's the price you should be comparing with. Right now it's showing about $10k under. Which means the Bolt is starting around $27k. The Bolt isn't "model 3 money" and hasn't been for years. Your review is dishonest, and when you compare fake prices, your review is essentially meaningless and fake as well. By the way, we aren't talking some hidden, negotiated pricing. You can buy Bolts advertised under $25k right now. You aren't getting a Model 3 under $40k. That's a MASSIVE difference. So your video, suggesting "model 3 money" is ridiculous, wouldn't you think? "It is expensive at mid $40,000 range..." - come on, man.... www.bomninchevrolet.com/VehicleDetails/new-2020-Chevrolet-Bolt_EV-5dr_Wgn_LT-Miami-FL/4709226133
