Thanks for the excellent review. I just completed this build and had the exact same issues w the rollerskate connections cracking plates as well as the issue at steps 96-97 causing strain and bowing out. Otherwise, wow what an ingenious design and amazing build.

@brickcats I’m refereing to your AT-TE video review, in 5:30 of your video adds a little bit where you don’t see the middle section flex but I think thats untrue if you watch the frames 35:20-35:22 you can see the middle portion of the at-te flexing in “STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS” animated movie from 2008 Also you can see the mid section moving while it walks up the cliffside and the at-te that peels off the cliff as it explodes at 35:43 has it’s midsection clearly flex after it falls (in the movie) Finally on frames 36:39-36:40 you see exactly how the at-te accomplishes it’s ability (also in the movie)

It's not on my list, but perhaps some time in the future.

What is the use for the (expensive) slytherin shield? :)
@brickcats2 ай бұрын
It holds the racer torso in place inside the spinjutzu canopy. You could get away with a neutral color, the black is just marginally less visible when you look at the cockpit closely.
@jonathan.10062 ай бұрын
@@brickcats thanks! Do you think that if the spinjitzu cone would be cut in half, a normal torso, or even full minifigure would fit?
@brickcats2 ай бұрын
@@jonathan.1006 Probably, but you wouldn't want to cut it in half as the technic pins are at the centerline. But if you removed part of the bottom there seems to be a lot of space inside.

@@brickcats nice, I‘ll give it a try then and build it soon!

I understand the use of the cockpit but if it can’t hold a minifigure then there isn’t really a point of it being minifigure scale

Not really sure what you mean. You wouldn't be able to get it out anyway. Plus there are plenty of situations where a MFS model is useful even if there's no figure inside. Hangar scenes, for examplke.
@JLikesStarWars3 ай бұрын
@@brickcats It’s just a personal issue I have. Anyone without that can justify it and it makes sense.
@brickcats3 ай бұрын
@@JLikesStarWars Yep totally fair! At the end of the day one needs to like a model enough to spend the money on it, and not being able to pose a (full) figure I'm sure is an issue for others as well. :)
