Passengers can use their own currency so that they will know the actual amount. Before covid and donkey years ago, there were even free seats which you only had to pay for the airport tax and that was roughly RM 40 only. As time passes, the airport terminal changed from that of a LCCT low cost carrier transport to that of now KLIA 2 which is a mega mall airport concept. KLIA 1 or just KLIA is used by MAS. Both terminals occupy the same grounds. The tickets offer by Air Asia have always been more competitive than that of MAS which is afterall a premium national flag carrier airline. During covid, passengers experienced cancellation of flights without a refund. After covid, there are inconsistencies in the take off time from both the airlines. The reason being the fear of catching the disease. But gradually and slowly, both return to normal. Not reaching the actual normal mark yet.

Actually there's a rail service which run between KLIA Terminal 1 & Terminal 2, which is KLIA Transit & KLIA Express. However you need to ensure you board the correct train & correct direction as KLIA Transit & Express run from different Platform for both directions at KLIA T1 & T2(Platform A is for KLIA Express train for non stop service between KL Sentral & KLIA. Platform B is for KLIA Transit which stops at all stations between KLIA & KL Sentral. Both service serve both KLIA T1 & T2.)

a320-200 can be retrofitted with sharklets which make the plane more efficient. Same with 737NGs and their "split scemitar" winglets.

Beware booking travel with AirAsia. They appear to be in deep financial difficulties, and owe customers refunds going back more than two years. In an email, they admitted due to the difficult situation they can’t commit to any timeline for paying the money they owe. -> If anything goes wrong you will likely never see the money you paid, nor will they support you in any way or rebook etc
