I realized it's foreshadowed that Ae Sol would be the hero. When Mr. Lee said cease fire and she fired. Soon Bo Ra would say Ae Sol might be the one that could fck them over. Turns out, Ae Sol was going to fire to save the remaining students. (And the character development for Bo Ra. From bullying Aesol to telling her to run to save herself.💔) Also, I can't believe that I didn't saw that end coming. It was already pre-established that that pervert would be crazy since all he cared about was the CSAT no matter how crazy the situation gets for them. Its just sad that even I hated some of the students, nothing could beat the hatred I felt for that crazy pervert.

Finally!!! Bruh I’m still sooo angry and sad at that ending. That kid is really messed up in the head and needed help :/ What trips me out the most is it’s a lot of them versus one and they all (except 3) died just like that 😔😩 I know they weren’t expecting any aliens/monsters, so they didn’t have their guns ready, but still!!! I agree with Jeff. War is not an easy thing to go through and it messes you up, especially for teens. at the end of the day, what youngsoo was so obsessed with ended up being true. the csat still happened to that third year who become a soldier when it should be gone for them, it's truly horrible. that's why i think the reason writers make the ending like that is to make more underline statement ((especially to korean society)) that no matter how "bleeding" you are, the adult might keep eating your soul until you have nothing anymore then grow the same as an adult who just holding for a status. since the beginning the government make csat as a weapon for the third year to agree, they know how desperate they can be when they also the one who make that toxic culture keep happening. that's connecting to WHY the writers choose youngsoo, when they can make the government bomb their place to minimize the sphere maybe since they already abandoning them anyway, but no. they choose the one who obsessed with being "perfect" in school even until the last moment in his life, the one who think that's the only way the burden from the adult in his life can be gone. youngsoo is the same as that girl who sh/t sir wonbin, but she care about her friends and hates the adult when youngsoo care about what the adult make for him and hates his friends. none of youngsoo did can be justified. but what i took from what das trying to tell is that all of those kids is a victim of what adult doing, every single one of them.

CSAT is such a big deal in Sth Korea. Koreans believe it defines your entire future, and whether you'll live in wealth or in poverty... So many young students feel way too much pressure because of this exam.

My reaction was just like you guys. I was so angry and upset. I grew to love the group, and how they stayed together after loss of their platoon leader. Kdramas like to mess with our emotions at times, when it's a thriller/horror-sci-fi type. They've done this with other shows, just completely gut you for caring about the characters. The message is def showing us that humans are cruel even when aliens invade and are trying to kill us. Humans tend to go into survival mode and turn on each other. Great example is THE MIST by Stephen King. We've all seen this happen in this lifetime with the pandemic. This is what people in war feel and much much worst of course. Seeing their friends or family wiped out instantly. Still though, we didn't need our hearts ripped out like that by that dude. Even though he hyper-focused on the CSAT and then snapped --- it was all the build up from family, bullying, and him feeling he want to get his way and violence was the only way to do it. I'm making up my own ending. A lot of fans are not accepting this as end lol. Thanks for the reaction guys! good work!

Events accelerated a lot in episode 10, which led us to miss some things in the first season, which have hidden important meanings that may be a reason for the third season. I'll make it quick, the first thing is the idea we all got about Younghoon, we all thought he was the main character but without warning he died in the first episode, you think that's normal! The second thing, I don't know if you also noticed that or not, but in the second episode, Kim Cheyeol entered the class in which Nara was, after they concealed from everyone the truth about Younghoon's death. Nara was then writing the names of those who left the school, including Younghoon, but Nara, who did not live much in Korea, made a mistake in the order of the letters of his name, so it became carrying the meaning of "rebirth". Do you think that is a coincidence? Another thing is the name Yeonghoon, it consists of two parts, young means “teach”, and hun means “flower or petals” if we put them together: Yeonghoon means “teach flowers”, don't you think that these spheres resemble flowers! And it seems smarter that everything they do they planned it alone without help!? What is also important is the way he died, we didn't see anyone die that way, which made it suspicious And now we will talk about Episode 10, this episode is very confusing, it made me think "Did everyone really die? We saw the gunfire, but in the end there was no corpse or a funeral, and a year or two passed and we did not know what really happened, is it not possible for anyone to survive from there?" Even if they all died, we still have four characters, we don't know what happened to them. We saw Kim Cheyeol, but what about Nara and the rest? i didnt really like the ending bcuz i wanted them to be happy after alll that but i feel like plot-wise i still think it was an interesting ending - they were literally having a normal highschool life and then suddenly theyre brought in to fight in war, it was about time someone lost their mind.. and just wanted to add too - in the webtoon, the ending is actually more cruel (?) in my opinion, bcuz after the classroom massacre, they were told that if the military found out about the classroom massacre then this will be considered a 'disgraceful act' and the points thing that they were collecting for the exam might nullify so what they did is they literally collected the bodies of those who got shot and used a grenade launcher on them.. to cover up what youngsoo did an attack by the spheres.... - i think the little part where jangsoo was first shown to get attacked by the alien (when he was actually shot) after opening the door is a small reference of this bit from the webtoon (how the kids had to lie about getting attacked by the aliens when it was youngsoo )bcuz in the show they just had a time jump instead

The show was good let's admit that, but the ending is just traumatizing. They didn't even die by the spheres, instead they were killed by one of their own. And the exposition on young soo the later episodes was already pointing out on him doing something but we us viewers wanted it to be just something to make our hearts run but yeah worst ending but good show. Also, just to add this isn't the original ending for the show it was adapted from a webtoon, in the original only I think 2 or 3 died from that shooting including vice pres but still the ending of the webtoon was a happy one

i loved this show. and this show did me worse then game of thrones. this was the worst ending i have ever seen. i actually read the webtoon HOPING for a better ending. it was a little different but similar outcome. i really cared for these kids. this ending traumatized me. its been a while since i saw this and im still traumatized.

This episode was some booty cheeks for real!!!! I absolutely hated it. I was also thinking why it got to that point for the "pervert" but all I could gather was that his family's hardship, him putting so much pressure on himself over the years plus the death of his friends and the war in general, took him to his breaking point. Plus, over the past 6 months more or less they've all been told that they will be getting extra credit points for doing this. Tbh that is probably the only thing that was keeping him sane. All the rest of them were slowly losing their minds but it didn't affect them as much as him because he was doing the war thing SOLEY for the purpose of getting extra credit points. When that is gone what did he have left. He had nothing to lose, he recognized that many of his friends had died. And even so in the end they said that 2 years after the spheres dropped they resumed the MCAT he would've still had to wait two more years to take the test, get into a good college, and start helping his family financially. I definitely don't agree with what he did but I can understand how this could make someone go completely insane..looking at it from his point of view. This is a perfect representation of someone who's lost their mind. His rationalization wasn't even making sense anymore for why he did what he did and he was hallucinating that part about them talking about killing him. He hit rock bottom.
