REVIEW - Bellroy Venture Hip Pack

The magnetic lock snaps off accidentally when I'm quickly adjusting the fit/placement of my bellroy fpack/sling against my chest or back - my hand grabs that part when I'm pulling it away or close to my left shoulder and it snaps off. It almost fell off when I was on a motorbike 🫣 good thing I have better reflexes, haha. So to sort out that annoying magnet clasp - I ziptied it. Ugly fix, but better that than sorry. One of these days I'll take it down to a bagmaker to completely change the clasp mechanism to the traditional one just for peace of mind.

I’m debating on getting a fanny pack but if I did get one, it might be either this or the evergoods CAS2. This one is definitely more minimal which I’m liking, but the other looks like it’s very durable. Tough choice. I also intend to use it as a dad bag/personal bag.

How do you feel about the magnetic lock after some time of using it? In my experience, it's not very secure cause of some accidental bumps in the crowd rush could lead to unlocking it and the bag fall down (((

I’ve honestly not had any issues with it. I wear it all the time and I think it’s opened accidentally once. I think because I wear it quite tight the teeth hold it securely
