I got a different model and it dies out within seconds of charges after a couple months of use, so does this still work today if you still have it, does it last long?

Yeah, mine still works today and lasts for a while (I haven't timed it from fully charge to empty, but I have not noticed a significant degrade in the battery)

I live in Hawaii, sand is one of many issues cleaning out my truck. Would u think this could be a big help in getting all that sand out? I’ve been using normal shop vac vacuums that one could get from Home Depot and they suck

This is not as powerful as bigger vacuums. It is better if you need to get into smaller spaces but it’s not as powerful as a bigger vacuum. If you need to clean up a lot of sand and a bigger more powerful vacuum fits, I’d go with that. Although, I’ve used it to suck up some sand on the floor mat and it worked fine.

Try a leaf blower in combination with the shop vac. Not at the same time of course, or else you'll create a rift in time-space.
