Saw Boult quite a few times towards the end of his career, he never disappointed and during his long career he conducted more or less everything. Great impersonation by the way.

I’m never too sure about mono recordings, except if the sound quality is top notch.

Check out the recent Pristine Classics XR remasterings of the Vaughan Williams cycle from this set. It's incredible, making the mono sound like early stereo.
