(:Review:) Camco Premium RV Drinking Water Hose ~ Why Not Buy a Cheap Hose

What makes a good hose for an RV? Unlike garden hoses which don't have to be drinking water safe or sustain full pressure for extended periods of time, an RV hose needs good quality fittings to be a good quality hose. The Camco premium hoses are just that. they have solid nickel plated brass fittings that will give you a good quality connection. Don't bother with those cheap hoses, get the premium ones. If it has a plastic female side or thin brass male side, forget it. You might as well buy a cheap one and put your own ends on. The Camco premium series solves that by having good ends to start with.

I have a cheap hose that began to swell and separate. This was a cheap, white hose from Walmart. On line looking for similar problems and I came across this vid. Thanks

Another reason to get a drinking water hose is because the cheap hoses use cheaper plastics and have bad chemicals that get in the water (such as BPA) which is not a problem when you are watering plants, but if you are drinking it, that would not be good for you.

Both my Camcos have unbearable toxic chemicals. I'm holistic health Chef and both are despicable toxic ruined my dinner tonight cause of it.

Oh wow! Yeah my white camco one is actually starting to rust inside the ends! All bad! Anyone with similar issue?

Is it actual rust (reddish-brown) or like a galvanic corrision/cavitation(white)?

I will have to look again.. went to change the filter and seen what look like rust. So waiting for new hose before changing.

Yup, the cheap ass RUBBER hoses my mom gave me off gas like a mo fo and i can see the petroleum n my turtle pond. The rainbow residue =GAS/petrol. Or maybe the old hoses aren't cheap, idk. But there are major chemicals in the hoses.

I bought one of these and my water taste like rubber garden hose not a happy camper after paying 104.00 for the damn thing

goof ball Drinking water hoses are made of vinyl, which has the least chemical taste. A hose with actual rubber blends would taste worse. The taste will go away after a few days of use.

NO i heard they are made of hard plastic BVP. That piping stuff i Know does not smell.

I bought two Camco hoses and both are horribly toxic. Don't recommend at all. 0 stars! First one is the cheap 25ft. 2nd is the 200$ heated hose. Not happy camper!
