I hv both watches you reviewed after mulling over the Rolex submariner or Tudor Black Bay for over a year! The Grand Seiko is arguably better in craftsmanship and to think that choice left me with plenty of money left over to purchase the CW! For me it was a “you took a year to make this choice” question to myself. It was undoubtedly the better decision imo. Thx for the reviews sir….👍🏾❤️🖤💚

I’ve been researching this watch for a while (just ordered the slightly different SBGN027 version), and I have to say this is by far best video on it I’ve come across. Came here from the CW video, these are the exact two watches I am mulling over, you have saved me a lot of cash as I am going for the CW with a white dial. Keep the videos up man, my only gripe is the music in this one on loop was a bit at odds with the vocals at times!

Thank you for the video. You have a new subscriber in me. The point of replacing the battery every 3-4 years for $25 compared to servicing an automatic for 20 times that price mat have swayed me in the direction of the Seiko. Great review of both watches. Asking the comparison question a bit differently: do you think the extra $2000 for the GS is worth it? Also does the GS seem to scratch easier because of it’s better polishing?

Thanks for watching and subscribing! The grand seiko is definitely priced correctly IMHO considering the speciality of this quartz movement, the level of detail, and the finishing. However, I would only say it’s worth another $2k for collectors with diverse collections where adding a high accuracy quartz would outweigh the benefits of adding another automatic movement to the collection (ETA clones). The Christopher Ward is significantly delivering above its expectations. They could have charged $2k and it still would be a value. The Christopher ward is cheaper than the new Oak and Oscar GMT, Any of the Farer GMTs, and Monta. To your last question, yes it scratches very easily, particularly the beveled lugs. When I owned my SBGA375, the bezel scratched really easy.

I think I’ll be going with the CW because I plan to use it as a daily watch, and as I frequently go out with my six year old son to parks, rivers, the beach, etc., I think the GS will probably look pretty beat up very quickly. Your comments helped me make a decision that I was debating over for months though, so definitely appreciate it!
