Review: Dreame D9 vacuum and mop robot

I have it, and I don't have these problems. I have latest firmware. It never stucks, works great, has all the options about room dividing, no mop zone....for 280 euro it's a best buy.

I didn't know that I need to set boundries at the stairs. Mine actually stopped at the edge and turned back on its own.

Most thinks are simply not true! Stair protection works perfectly as well as no-go no wipe-areas etc.

6:10 - Great review! I've got DD9, and it can navigate stairs. Thus, the robot won't fall down stairs.

They must have updated the firmware on the vacuum as I have NONE of the issues you mentioned. I was able to get 2 different maps, 1 for upstairs and 1 downstairs and use them regularly. To edit a map it has to complete a clean AND return to the dock! If not then it will not save it. It does recognize cliffs or stairs as my robot will not fall off. The mopping feature I have yet to use and don't plan on it as I have a different one that was built for that purpose. I have noticed each time I use it the map gets more complete and detailed.

@@ErinLawrenceTV Well. I'm really surprised from the cleaning quality of a machine. However, mapping faced a lot of challenges as you described. One time it was cleaning for 4+ hours the same two rooms and added 3 extra rooms in my apartment haha After one week and 3-4 map resets it seems it's stable now. The house is quite cluttered with chairs/couches/tables so this might be the cause. Anyway, I hope it abides by the current map. Thanks again!

06:48 this is normally impossible. The robot is 10 cm's high, and it makes a measurement before he goes inside

Hello, good honest review!!! So I had a chance to review the Dreame d9 and I wonder if you allowed the robot to start and end from the docking station without interruption to allow it to complete the map and save it. I can't recall if there was a setting to save the map. Anyways sorry you had a bad experience with the robot. I am glad the S4 Max from Roborock worked a lot better for you. Keep up the good work and take care!!!

I guess your initial setup (mapping) did not complete ok and further you couldn't use all features of the app. I have the robot and it's pretty much great, no issues at all, and definitely not any of the issues you've mentioned ... Also this is the first bad review that I see of this model, I guess your setup failed and let you down ...

Great info, and you sound like a news anchor! More competition in the market is always good for us consumers, and Dreametech says an update is due this Month to make the vacuum hopefully feel ready for prime time. The price (currently on sale for under $300 USD on Amazon) is appealing, but I can't bring myself to buy until the issues are worked out. The Roborock S6 seems like the way to go... once white is back in stock.

seriously I've noticed that a lot of these robots use one of 3 types of apps that work very similar to one another. let us program the robots to work better for our needs. I just want to be able to drive mine for fun sometimes. gosh. or show it that it has enough room to fit somewhere it thinks it can't.
