I'm with you on this Matt. As I mentioned on Mazzy's review of LITMW, I'm reaching the point where I no longer feel like I need to get the new remixes that the Beatles and solo Beatle camps have been issuing. In general, they tend to be a mixed bag and I find that I rarely listen to the various takes/demo discs. I love LITMW (my second favorite George album) so I bought the box set but I like your idea of listening in Spotify and then deciding whether a set is worth adding to the collection. I may need to do that too. Take care.

@@RobScuremusic Allan C Records told me that the orange vinyl sounds absolutely fantastic! I probably should’ve gone with just that and no extras. But, as I sit here waiting for my lousy two CD edition, we’ll see what happens. It is totally unacceptable and ridiculous that we have to wait days or even weeks after release date to receive our item.especially people like me you and Allan who have channels to maintain, it doesn’t do us any good to show a product 10 years from now! So pleased you like the new Paul Hicks mix of the album. I kind've get where you're coming from on the outtakes and stuff. I love to listen to that stuff myself, to hear how these songs evolved in the studio to the finished takes we all know and love. The Anthology albums being a case in point for me, I still listen to those three albums quite a lot. But if you only want to hear the remixed album that's fine. I am surprised that they never thought to release it as a single CD, but I think you can get it as a single album on coloured vinyl. I'm "awaiting" on my Box set to arrive, hopefully soon. But when your CD's arrive may you enjoy them my friend. Peace n Love to you and yours...

A deluxe Dark Horse would be promising, if the demo of the song Dark Horse is any indication (pre sore throat/laryngitis). I actually buy the sets for the bonus tracks. I've heard the albums already. I want to hear stuff I've never heard. ✌🐞

You made a point that I totally agree with. Most box sets have a lot of fluff on them that you’ll listen to one time and that will probably be it. The basic album is generally what you want.

I just could not see spending almost $200 on something that would sit mainly on my shelf all the time. I will listen to the main CD because I love the remix. As far as sunshine life for me, I can hear it on Spotify so I don’t need a physical copy. And I like the Ringo version a bit better anyway. But then again it’s totally up to you. Every individual has to make their own decision about what is most important to them. I am very happy with this double CD. Take care Sam.🎼🎶🎵🍻🦃🐿️

I did get the 2 CD set and I am happy. The remix is to my ears are very good, the extra CD is fine. The reason I got the 2 CD is for the Box..I missed the 2006 with a Box and got the digi pack 2014 which is good also. The poster and other items in box were good too. take care

For me, this time, it was the complete opposite as far as the outtakes go. I actually decided to get the 2 LP version because I like the outtakes so much. Often, I'm fine with just streaming the extras. Anyway, I hope you get your copy soon! Love your channel, Matt.

Yeah, I basically burned out on most boxsets awhile ago. The John Lennon boxes are about the only ones I've bought. The Material World deluxe set is ridiculous. Think about it, you're paying $140 for essentially two discs of music. Way too pricey for me.

Hey Matt! I always love your videos and your transparency. I do need to comment, though on the surroundsound mixes of the album, they are fantastic. I broke down and got the super deluxe and very happy that I did for the surround mixes. Just a thought that I wanted to throw out to you. Keep up the great work, man!

Hey Matt, I feel your pain. I pre-ordered the Super Deluxe Edition from the GH web site and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. In fact, based on the post office's site it hasn't even shipped yet! The status has changed a few times this week ... from "label printed, waiting for product" to "processing at destination" (and I thought my house was the destination). The next status will be "preparing for delivery." Then there are two more steps. How exciting! It's supposed to arrive this Friday. We'll see. They only printed 5,000 copies of the SDE worldwide. Let's say 3,000 to 3,500 went to the USA and half of those went to Amazon. (I won't use them for SDEs because they don't use packing materials.) So I'm guessing the US division of the Harrison estate only had to distribute about 1,000 of these. And they've all been pre-ordered for months. Why can't they organize such a relatively small quantity of boxes and get them out the door a day or two before release day? Is it too hard for them to count that high? Perhaps they're all from Pennsylvania.

I pre-ordered the Meet The Beatles blue vinyl exclusive from Target back in September..and received an email today that I won't receive it till Dec. 2nd. Ridiculous, no more pre-ordering for me! I bought the 2 LP version of this album I heard that the box set is sold out Glad I didn’t buy that box as I was underwhelmed after listening I bought the Beatles box set coming out on Friday but am having regret as I have all these albums already Appreciate your honesty Matt about the Beatles products as too many channels are pretty bias about anything Beatles

That sucks about not getting the CD yet... I totally agree about all of these box sets. They are great to receive but then they just sit gathering dust, except for the main album. I could usually care less about extras, exceptions being the amazing bonus tracks on the White Album box set. I also heard the album on Spotify and it does sound excellent!

Yes Larry, the White Album extras are fab! I’m baffled why I have so much trouble getting things on the day of release. Did I piss off the Beatle gods or something? Ha ha! Many of these packages are beautiful with the books and all, but I am getting more and more interested with just the main music. My boxset only arrived yesterday despite having paid nearly $100 in international shipping.
