I like the Empire SLX for many of the same reasons covered here, light, aero and I was stoked they fit my narrow feet. I discovered once you snug them to the desired tightness at the start of your ride, they remain there in my experience. One odd observation about Giro's laces, the white laces tend to lose their flatness as they age, and are difficult to lace and unlace. My black Empires are a breeze to take on and off, the laces keep their shape, and easily tighten where I like them. I didn't have any issues breaking in the Empires, and after a couple of years of use they are wearing well

@tony I have heard the same thing about the laces. They did come with an extra pair of black laces, so we will see. Good to know they break in nicely, they were a little stiff initially.

I replace the laces with XPAND no tie shoe laces. Once you get them set right they are great.

third pair arrived today.....i have payed 100 euro more than previous model....but 52 grams more than the previous model....every shoe is 194 grams....distant from 168 grams of the previous model ...they are transparent so i don't know if in the winter is possible to use .

HI, i have had problems with that shoes...firs pair....one rivet was without thread.....ordered an other pair....one rivet was not attached to the base....now i have ordere a third pair ....but...not good for a great firm

Hi, I see you are a great specialist of the bicycle shoes. I have a narrow leg with a little lift, will these Giro suit for me?

Honestly, shoes are very personal and different for everybody. You would really need to try them on to see if they fit you well. I would also recommend getting an insole that would work for your foot. Check out your local bike shop or bike fitter for help and recommendations for this, as they can guide you based on the width and size of your foot and the type of arch you have to match best shoes and insoles.

fine. if you get them get better insoles, the ones that come with it are terrible
