Review: Honda SCL500 2023

Marc-André fell completely in love with this simple but very efficient motorcycle from Honda. The SCL 500 is built on the Rebel 500 platform but is taller and looks like a scrambler from the 60's-70's.
Classic looks with a simple approach and modern Honda reliability = WIN!

Been thinking about getting one of these to tour through the Rockies. I rode through Jasper and Banff on a goldwing back in the early 2000's and wanted to do it again ever since.

@@twinsixty yeah I love it… so easy to ride. It honestly is the best middle ground, taking into account insurance & purchase costs, fuel consumption, decent performance(not earth shattering but enough to put a smile on your face), confidence inspiring, upright riding position and above all Honda reliability reputation of this 471cc engine. Unless of course if you are related to Evel Knievel… then this might not be for you😂

Great video. I got 2,800 miles on my CL500 and love it so far. Traded in my Rebel 1100cc DCT for it. I had 14,500 miles on the rebel,and the ergonomics really started to bother me. Now I have no more shoulder pain and tak8ng every turn 10 miles faster. Love the new CL500. It's much lighter and a lot more nimble in the turns. Greetings from the NJ shore.

I like Scrambler motorcycle a lot, I've been checking honda CL500 ever since it was announced for USA. After watching this review I'm convinced this will be my 1st motorcycle if i make the choice next summer 2024 🤞🏽🙏🏽

The clutch seems effortless . Good for my scewrd up hand. I cant ride a kawasaki w 800 because of that.

Not bad. Front mudguard too short, it's throwing crap onto the motor & exhaust or maybe it needs a belly pan or sump guard, rear carry rack would be nice.

The Exhaust positioning is not a minor defect. For me that was the reason for not buying it

It not as bad is it looks but I had to mention the contact with the boot on the heat shield.

Iam sorry but this has to be a paid review, most reviews state the clocks are difficult to read, the seat is uncomfortable, brakes are weak the suspension is to soft , abs not switchable, and while i like this bike and looking to purchase in the new year, i would appreciate some honesty,.sorry, no hate towards you

Had the bike for a very short period of time and rode it 180km, I gave you what I liked and disliked about the bike. I don't bother with other channels or reviewers and I don't go to product launches (I hate those). Sorry you did not like my review. I don't hete you either.
