This video is excellent. Thank you for sharing it. I also own this Roku Streambar, and I would recommend adjusting your TV sound settings to set the HDMI audio to "Bitstream" or "Passthrough." By doing this, you allow the soundbar to handle the audio decoding instead of your TV. While it may not make a significant difference in terms of audio quality, it's worth considering.

I have a somewhat different model. I use the optical line for my audio since the HDMI port is used for my cable box.

Excellent review. I'm considering buying this just as a soundbar because it's compact and very good value. My TCL has Google TV built in which i use mostly, and we use roku from time to time. How does this function as a soundbar only, so if i turn on my TV using the TV remote does the soundbar come on, but not the Roku interface? To access the Roku interface do you have to select the HDMI using the TV remote and/or press the power on button on the Roku remote. I'd like to understand what you need to do, to use it only as a soundbar and then as a soundbar plus roku apps. Apologies if this is a little confusing but it's not something Roku have explained very well.

If I plug this into the HDMI arc slot which is slot 2 in my TV will I get audio from my ps5 through it which is plugged into HDMI 1??

1) Is the remote IR or WiFi (point anywhere...?) 2) I want to use Blue Tooth ear buds, Huh? Will they work and do they mute the speakers?

Yes its a radio signal so you can point it anywhere.

@@justadadtips Thanks on the remote. But I learned that the Bluetooth ONLY works for Roku speakers (woofer and extension speakers) so I sent it back. It won't work for earbuds, which is why I bought in the first place. It -clearly- says "Bluetooth" on the box. First Roku device I have been dissatisfied with. "Toothless Bluetooth." I don't like having to plug in earphones to the remote, so the Bluetooth was really attractive. Sad that they did this.

My Roku doesn’t give me the wired option when I set up and I need that. Is there a way to access that option when I have the Ethernet plugged in?

I love this streambar, but have had an issue with the ARC stopping . I have to reset entire system and tV to get sound through this device when playing cable TV. Works fine when watching streamed items on ROKU, but I lose it when using TV. I reset all the ports, works for a few days and fails again. Anyone have this issue?
