Maybe I have a different model, but I own this laptop and the RAM is user upgradable. I changed mine from 8gb to 16gb in about 5 minutes. Remember to remove the screws from under the rubber on the bottom to remove the cover.

ah cool. exactly the video I was hoping for. Have not had to purchase a new laptop in years. But now am looking for a budget one with acceptable quality for the lower price. Came across this one in WalMart electronics department area of my local store and was curious to know more. Only need one for general personal business, communications/emails, and KZbin watching purposes. Am not a gamer although sometimes I download them out of curiosity and play them for a little bit.

Never had a issue with 8gb but I upgraded to 16gb, and the laptop has been clocked using around 12gb in certain task. Although, I haven't noticed any noticable difference.

yes......if you want to do photoshop on a fast and smooth running laptop that will last long...you need to ensure these 3 things ....(FIRST) the core processor is at least an i5, i7, or i9 (not a i3, amd, celeron, atom, pentium or some other) ...(SECOND) the ram needs to be 8 and above (THIRD) the storage should be in SSD not HDD ..least should be 128 and above.....thats 3things you need to ensure....which this laptop the 11th gen i5-1135G7 def is PERFECT.... ssd 256gb ..processor i5....8gb ram

No it shouldnt run hot. Install www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.44.exe and monitor the CPU temperature. Is it getting over-heated?

Nah not really. I've been using this for about 2 years now and it's still great. It has great boot time and everything. Fan noise is something I've never even thought of. It's never that loud unless you're stressing the processor (which is hard to do cause I play minecraft on fancy graphics and it's still good). So yeah its barely any fan noise, at least in my experience. Oh also it's decent for a little editing

I am still not sure if the webcam would be good enough for this. I got it I can buy an extra camera. It is just extra weight if you flying a lot. My another issue is: I have some equipments and apps they are a little bit older. I can install them from the dvd only. I can not do it on my Lenovo chrombook. I need your advice I am attending college for my bachelor's degree For Computer and Information Science. light programming will be involved. I was thinking about 3 laptops, all 17 inch. 1. HP 17.3 inch laptop with Intel core i5-1135G7, 12GB Ram, 512GB SSD and integrated Intel Xe Graphics for $630. 2. HP Envy 17.3 Touch-Screen laptop with Intel Core i7-1165G7, 12GB RAM, 512 SSD + 32GB Intel Optane with intel integrated Xe graphics for $1073 3. Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 17" QHD (2560x1600 resolution) touch screen laptop with Intel Core i7-1165G7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD + 32GB Intel Optane with Nvidia GeForce MX350 for $1241.99. Keep in mind that the RAM on the Dell laptop is soldered to the motherboard, so is non upgradeable. The HP laptops more memory can be added later. Is it worth it to spend the extra money or should I just go with the cheapest one for $630?

Go with HP. You don't need QHD resolution for coding. RAM and CPU are more important

I'm buying either this exact same or extremely very similar everything as this laptop, that he reviewing, except it has 16 GB Ram, instead of 8 GB Ram, and 512 GB SSD, Windows 11 pro, at a Pawn 1 for $200 used, very good condition, on this coming Tuesday. Will it run Baldur's Gate 3, at the very lowest settings? I would think so, as I had a Dell, micro mini tower, Intel 5, Windows 11 Pro, that either had slightly worse, equal, slightly better system specs, etc, had, has 16 GB Ram, 1 TB SSD, etc, that ran Baldur's Gate 3 just fine, that had a problem, that crashed, had to system restore, tweak Bios, and now when reboot, says can't boot up, Hard Drive error, and black screen, and won't go into either Bios, system restore, etc, that stuck on the black screen with that error message, and nothing seems to fix it, etc, so that why I replacing it with laptop, that seems like it should also run Baldur's Gate 3, hopefully.
